e. We believe that spaying and neutering is the most effective way to prevent unwanted litters, reduce cat homelessness, and improve cats’ health and well-being. We also believe that education and outreach are essential to raise awareness and compassion for cats among the public. OUR GOALS
Reduce the cat population in our city by providing more spay and neuter resources. Educate the residents on responsible cat ownership and population control. Actively and effectively manage community cat populations through humane and non-lethal methods, including Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR). 🐾Meet our precious bottle kitten named Jett, who is now 2 weeks old and thriving! This tiny bundle of fur has been lovingly cared for by amazing volunteers who have been feeding him since birth. 💕

Each day, he grows stronger and more curious thanks to the dedication and kindness of these wonderful fosters.

How many foster moms does a tiny panther need? 1, 2, 3 ,4... we "share custody" of this little one to make it easier for those involved and their schedules. Compassion and teamwork are making a world of difference in his life. 🐱❤️

We are beyond grateful for our two amazing volunteers Bob and Chris who have been absolute heroes in our mission to save and foster kittens, participate in TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) programs, and transport our furry friends to clinics. 🐱🚗

These two incredible individuals have shown unwavering dedication and love for our little feline friends. Whether it’s cuddling kittens, ensuring they get the medical care they need, or helping control the stray population, they do it all with a smile and a heart full of compassion. 💖

Kitty's journey is nothing short of miraculous. As an unwanted cat, she has faced abuse and attacks from other cats, enduring a rough life on the streets. Forced to be an outdoor cat, she braved the elements and dangers night after night. Despite her hardships, she has shown incredible resilience and a heart full of love. She is the most affectionate lap kitty you could ever meet.

She will soon receive medical attention for a potential rib injury, likely a result of her tough past. Her story is a powerful reminder of the strength and love that street kitties possess, even after facing unimaginable challenges.

We can all help cats in these situations to find the love and care they deserve. Every act of kindness makes a difference. 🐱💕

Solano County Animal Care is thrilled to announce our partnership with Animal Balance for a spay/neuter clinic on October 25-27, 2024! This three-day clinic is exclusively for friendly, domestic cats and dogs in Solano County and will help reduce the number of unwanted animals in our community. 🐶🐱
🗓 Clinic Details: 📅 Dates: October 25-27, 2024
🐕 Dogs: Must be 4 months - 6 years old, weigh under 75 lbs, and be on a leash at all times.
🐈 Cats: Must be 4 months - 6 years old, friendly, and in a plastic carrier (big enough to stand up, turn around and lay down).
🚫 Breed Restrictions: French Bulldog, English Bulldog, Lhasa Apso, Japanese Chin, King Charles Spaniel, Pug, Pekingese, Boston Terrier, and Shih Tzu.
💉 Current rabies vaccinations required.
⚠️ Aggressive dogs are not eligible.
📅 Appointments: This is an appointment-only clinic, and bookings go live on Sunday, September 1st, at 10:00 AM. Each household can book one slot—no rescue affiliations allowed. Make sure to select the correct slot based on your pet's species, s*x, and size. Incorrect bookings won't be rescheduled unless an open slot is available.

We host monthly spay and neuter clinics and encourage you to reach out if you have community cats in need of these services. Together, we can all be part of the solution and we can ensure that community cats live happy and healthy lives, while also preventing the birth of unwanted litters.

We still don't have any news on Frankie. We are concerned. He's is on a special needs diet. He has a loving indoor outdoor home and is just too friendly for his own good. He could’ve gotten into a vehicle unbeknownst to the driver and literally could be anywhere by now. He is fixed and chipped. Last seen on Lombard Rd in AC. Please share 🐈

Frankie is just too friendly for his own good!

We need your help! Our beloved farm kitty, Frankie, has gone missing again. Frankie is a very friendly kitty who absolutely adores humans. In fact, he loves people so much that he has been taken home by well-meaning folks a few times now.

Frankie lives a happy life at the Honey Farm, where he enjoys the open space and the company of his 4 legged and 2 legged friends. We miss him dearly and want him back where he belongs. If you’ve seen Frankie or know where he might be, please let us know.

truly does save lives. These 4 kittens were found as bottle babies with umbilical cords still on them. Look how beautiful they look now. Their foster mom has done an amazing job raising them....oh and did we mention how cuddly and affectionate they are? ❤️ 🐾 😻😻😻

Urgent Foster Home Needed for Six Orphan Kittens!!!

We are reaching out to our compassionate community with an urgent plea for help. Six adorable kittens, around 5-6 weeks old were found today with their deceased mom. These little ones are in desperate need of a loving and nurturing foster home to provide them with the care and attention they so dearly need during this critical time.

The shelter is committed to supporting the foster family by sponsoring all medical care and supplies for these kittens. What we need is a kind-hearted individual or family who can open their home and hearts to these vulnerable babies.

Please contact us immediately if you can help. Time is of the essence, and every moment counts to help these little ones.

Reuniting mommy and babies! Sometimes babies need just a little more time with their mom before they can be on their own. Recently, we found a cat that was likely abandoned or dumped crying for help, and it is a heartbreaking sight. His meows break our hearts. It’s important to remember that abandoning cats is not a solution. Cats are living beings that deserve love and care. If someone can no longer take care of their cat, there are other options available. They can contact local animal shelters or rescue organizations to find a new home for their cat. They can also post on social media to see if anyone is interested in adopting their cat. This kitty is clearly not a community cat (feral). He is a stray, friendly cat. He’s a little scared which is understandable. He has been fending for himself out there. Cats that were once pets have a very difficult time adjusting to the hard life of an outdoor cat. Life is already hard as it is for our feral kitties, let alone a cat that doesn’t have the skills to survive outdoors. We will do our best to help him. ADOPTED 😻 These kittens were dumped in a very unsafe area. Thankfully, a lovely human found them just in time. They are now on their way to recovery. Slowly, their eyes are healing and soon they hearts will too. They are malnourished but we are making sure their bellies are full. We know shelters and rescues are full but please talk to family, neighbors, friends. There's always another option but dumping defenless animals isn't one. TNR works! This Tom was cruising around the neighborhood for a year making babies and getting in fights. He had a huge infected abscess on his neck and needed help. Our wonderful group trapped him, got him neutered at Napa Humane where he got vaccinated and his ear tipped. He spent the next 8 weeks being treated by the vet at Napa County Animal Shelter. He’s now a healthy boy. Still feral and fiesty with humans, but won’t be causing problems harassing other cats any longer. Just released back to his neighborhood to live out his life. We need volunteers to help in American Canyon. There is so much work to be done. Whether it’s for setting and watching traps or transporting to and from Napa Humane for spay/neuter services. It’s all important work. 🐈‍⬛ 🐈
