Stomp Stoppers is a family owned and run business founded by Gladys about 20+ years ago. In recent years her daughter Jessie, and grandchildren, have become more involved in the day to day business operations and are the primary contacts while Gladys enjoys more time on trails with her horse. Our Stomp Stopper fly wraps are handcrafted by Gladys and her family right here in the USA. This product
protects your horse from biting flies and insects. They also help reduce stomping, which can cause loose shoes, shoe loss, and even leg injuries. Stomp Stoppers are made of soft and pliable vinyl mesh with a black binding. Most have a 2 inch vertical industrial-strength velcro closure with two additional supports to avoid slippage. As long as the Stomp Stoppers are put on correctly, they are GUARANTEED not to sag. Measurements vary depending on the height/make/model of your horse, pony, donkey, or mule. Please refer to our sizing chart or contact us with any sizing questions you may have and/or customizations you may need. We ship priority mail across the U.S. upon receipt of payment. I wanted to formally introduce myself as I am stepping into the management position of my family’s business. If you’d like to learn a bit more about me and my plans for Stomp Stoppers, I have written a summary below. Thank you!
Over 20 years ago now my grandma, Gladys Collins began perfecting the Stomp Stoppers we make and sell today. I remember her always hard at work sewing—but she did not fail to make time for her grandchildren either. I feel so lucky to have countless memories riding trails with my grandma through the years. I remember when I was younger running around the campgrounds selling fly wraps and rhythm beads to our friendly neighbors. The photo above is one of my sister (right), grandma (middle) and myself (left) riding out in South Dakota.
A handful of years ago now I began helping out with Stomp Stoppers (part time) learning how to cut and sew our fly wraps while finishing a degree in Business at UW-Eau Claire. I have always had aspirations to own my own business one day and I am also an avid rock climber and rock climbing guide. Despite my active lifestyle, I found my time spent at a sewing machine to be a peaceful change of pace.
I see first hand the hard work my grandma Gladys and mother Jessie (and now myself) have poured into the quality and the craft of these wraps—each individually made, not by a factory but in our own homes.
In this new management role I plan to develop a website that makes information regarding our product much easier to find. It will also mean that ordering Stomp Stoppers should become easier for you all! It also means tracking inventory, orders, communication, and shipping info should become much easier for us as well.
We hope you can understand that this year has been a tough one on our family (referring to our last post), but we are adjusting accordingly and have very high hopes for the future of Stomp Stoppers!

RESTRUCTURING, YET STAYING THE SAME. What does that mean?🤔 It means that Stomp Stoppers is the same family business you have come to love. ❤️ It means that our Founder, Gladys, (my mom) instilled customer service as one of her foundational characteristics in the business and when she decided to partially retire , it was my focus as I moved forward with her business. However, this year, I admit I have dropped the ball due to my own family emergencies beginning with my mini stroke this spring, my dad falling and breaking both legs in June, and now the hospitalization of my daughter for testing. 🤯 We are a strong family, and make a strong product, 💪 and during these times, we come together and have restructured while staying the same providing a top quality fly wrap for your horses 🐎. Tristen, ( my son, Gladys' grandson) has worked with us the last four years. He believes In our product and has a wonderful business mind while knowing how important our customers and customer care is to us. He is stepping in as our managing person in charge of all operations to ensure our customers get what they deserve which is the very best service we can provide. I will still be sewing and helping create our wonderful product alongside Tristen and mom (who never fully retires 😉) but Tristen's availability as the main contact person is top level while I also focus on my family's health. Please welcome Tristen who will be your new main contact person for our Stomp Stoppers business taking orders, shipping, advertising, and also sewing alongside mom and I which he has been doing for the last few years. Our quality of our products has remained as we still make them the same as Gladys always has and taught us. 🤯🤪 We are having some crazy times right now! We are blessed with great customers, and shipping multiple orders daily. Usually sending tracking info is pretty simple (tho time consuming) through our click and ship account. I try to send these in the evening or if I get a chance throughout the day. However, lately our account has had issues and I haven't had access to those numbers. I just received an email (see picture) they are processing our issue and should have it fixed by the weekend for sure. In the meantime, please be patient about tracking numbers.
Also, due to the high volume of orders and shipments and people looking for tracking info, my cell phone voicemail can not handle the volume and is often full. We now have a business line and voicemail is set up. Please leave voice messages on our business line after today so my cell phone voicemail is available for personal messages or emergencies . The business number will be 715-268-4601.
Of course, you can still message through FB, text or email. We appreciate all of our customers and are hoping these changes will be helpful for sure!
