7 health tests on our GSPs. We are located in Ames, Iowa and extensively health test and evaluate the temperaments of all our GSP's to insure we are providing the healthiest German Shorthaired Pointers Puppies for our future families. We strive to produce calm tempered German Shorthaired Pointers that excel in a home family environmen

t and are remarkable hunters in the field and water. To make sure we are producing the most sound German Shorthaired Pointers, we extensively health test all of our dogs and participate in hunting tests via AKC or NAVHDA. Our GSPs have health clearances/certifcates on PennShip, OFA Hips & Elbows, OFA Cardiac & Eye, Lupoid Dermatosis & von Willebrands. Our GSPs come from a long line of AKC Master Hunters and NAVHDA Versatile Champions (Sharp Shooters, Top Gun, Willow Creek, Jaegerhof) to name a few. GSPs were bred to hunt and live for it, and are happiest when they are hunting, therefore we prefer our GSPs go to hunting homes. But, we have made a few exceptions to non-hunting homes. We realize Shorthairs cannot be hunted 24/7 and that is why we have selected our GSPs of a sound calmer temperaments and disposition to live as companions first. Our puppies have phenomenal prey drives. We take great pride in our shorthairs and raise our GSPs to be excellent home companions (on/off switch), excel in hunting, and the water. We choose to be a small operation so we can concentrate, train, and give our GSPs lots of love and attention. We are an outdoorsy active family with 6 kids at home and all of us are avid hunters. Our German Shorthair's are a part of our family. Our German Shorthaired Pointer's are able to explore daily. They enjoy spending a great deal of time outside running, playing, and chasing critters. We enjoy taking them to the lake, parks, car rides, walks, kids activities, family events, and training grounds. All of our kids contribute to raising our German Shorthaired adults & puppies. My name is Sony and I run our page and kennel along with my husband, Dac. I was fortunate to have a great childhood in Minnesota. Camping, fishing, boating, athletics, and exploring the outdoors were branded into me and still is in my heart today. I stay at home raising our 6 kids which gives me a lot of time to devote to our GSPs. I enjoy spending time training in obedience, hunting skills, caring, and loving them. I'm a certified dog trainer/instructor with a speciality in German Shorthaired Pointers. Dac served 20 years in USMC special operations been a hunter since the age of 6 and grew up in Missouri. Dac is certified in marksmanship instructor, swim, scuba, dive instructor, and has a plethora of specialized training with multiple certifications in many areas. Dac trains, hunts, and love our German Shorthaired Pointers. Our puppies are exposed to numerous types of sound & senses. Such as babies, children, adults (neighbors & family), birds, rabbits, cats, little & big dogs, and spend a great deal of time during the day exploring outside. We also start touching and playing with their feet and start to trim their nails weekly starting at 2 weeks old to get them acclimated and comfortable. Our puppies stay with their mom and siblings until 10 - 12 weeks of age. Having them stay beyond 8 weeks helps the puppy transition to their new homes be less stressful and potty training is quicker. Puppies that start with their siblings and mo tend to have far less separation anxiety and other psychological ailments. We spend time daily temperament and stress testing the puppies. Starting at 1 week old our puppies are exposed to numerous different stimuli including pheasant wing, music, gunfire, different types of sound level noises, babies and children, adults, birds, cats, little & big dogs, etc..and spend a great deal of time during the day exploring outside. We also trim their nails weekly starting at 2 weeks old. Puppies start crate training at 6 weeks of age and learn to use steps and a doggy door. Our puppies aren't fully weaned until to 9 weeks of age. We have a state of the art kennel with epoxy flooring, raised Kuranda beds, air conditioning, heat, warm & cold water and each kennel is large enough to accommodate 3 dogs. Puppies also have an enclosed outside area that they can explore in during the day. When they reach 6 weeks of age they are able to start exploring our fenced backyard. This is a huge benefit because they get to experience many different sounds and senses as well as learn from mom and the other adult GSPs how to hunt and chase critters. We also provide puppy pools for the puppies to start exploring water. This time teaches them to get comfortable with new surroundings and learn new senses through their feet and nose. When the puppies do leave our family at 10-12 weeks of age they are very well socialized. It is important to keep this up when the puppy goes home to their new owners. We feed Purina Pro Plan Life Stage and highly recommend continuing this food. Puppies will come with:
-AKC Paid Registration
-AKC Reunite Microchip Lifetime Paid
-2 year health guarantee
-2 rounds of vaccinations (8 & 12 weeks)
-Tails docked & dew claws removed
-Panacur dewormer treatment (4, 6, 8, 10 weeks)
-Puppy binder
-Lifetime Breeder Support

For the safety and protection of our puppies we do not ship commercially but are more than welcome to fly in-cabin with the puppy. When our puppies leave our homes they do not leave our hearts as we stay in constant contact with the families. Many of our past puppy families have traveled from all parts of the U.S. and send us pictures and videos regularly. We are always here to answer any questions. Please like the page so you can stay up to date on new posts and litter announcements. Cheers,
A-Team GSP
