It's been exactly one year since Helen Cast has past.
And I Kenneth Locke would like to thank everyone who help Helen through her journey, a lot of very good people, did very good things for Helen! And I thank you from the bottom of my heart!!
Looking back, I know Helen didn't want a funeral, but I wish I ignored that request. She thought It should be a party, because that's how she wanted to be remembered.
We remember Helen as larger than life, stronger than most women, and determine to be the best friend, trainer, rider she could be!!
And to Team Cast, she loved you all, she was so proud at all your achievements, and she would take set backs as hard as all of you. But celebrated your victories as much as her own.
You women understand how she loved to push you towards your goals, and how happy she was when each of you reached those goals.
And the unwritten rule, come in less than third, and your off the team!! Kidding, lol
I could go on for hours about the life of Helen Cast, growing up in the United kingdom, getting a job on yachts in the south of France. Following that trade to antigua, once in antigua, she started a riding club, of course! Lol Then she decided to do horses full time, so she moved to New England, and well the rest we know.
I want to try to thank everyone that reached out, helped, and prayed for Helen on this journey,l thank you all, and may God keep your families safe and healthy!!
