I’m in Boonsboro tonight and this week watching 5 beauties who are my long time friends, except for Eleanor (the long hair cat) who still doesn’t care for me much. She almost always hisses at me. 🥺

I love helping Steve care for his feline friends at Tommorow Kitty Sanctuary. The vibe you feel upon stepping on the property is one of great peace.

For my kitty people: This is absolutely the best cat litter I have ever seen used. There are no perfumes, no dust, no clay, no pellets. Made from compressed corn cob, it smells similar to fresh cut lumber. Please view if you think your litter pan is hard to keep fresh, because this stuff is fantastic. Happy sifting.

I’m happy to introduce my 3 newest friends. Nikki is the beautiful, silver Cane Corso. Dixie is the Boxer who routinely uses her siblings as a lawn chair. She is sitting on magnificent Turbo, 150 pounds of sweetness (also a Cane Corso). I met them yesterday and am thrilled! ❤️

Bella, Gracie, & Cleo are 3 rescued kitties by a first time cat mama. Their mom has created a beautiful, loving set up for them. She shared a product with me that I had never seen, and I'd like to share it with you. It is a "kitty litter trapping mat". This mat's purpose is not just to catch & trap litter that gets tracked outside of the pan. It is also easily dumped by the 2 fold feature (as seen in the photo). Nothing falls off the edges. They run about $22. All 3 kitties were such a pleasure to care for. Thank you Bella, Gracie, and Cleo for being the sweet, friendly kitties that you are.

I adore my 2 new friends, Pepper & Toby. Pepper is a large and gorgeous shepherd with the sweetest personality. Toby quickly melted my heart with his desire to simply "be there" to keep you company. I had the most fun playing ball with them & enjoying long, peaceful walks through the nearby college campus linked to their home. I felt quite safe during my stay.

Meet 2 of my newest friends, Moose & Toby. These guys have a great set up, as they can go through the doggie door to go outside, any time they need. I was very impressed at the way the owners solved an issue with Toby (the beagle). Toby will dig under the large fenced area if not being watched. So that Toby may go "out" when the owners can not supervise, they put up a small portion of invisible fence, inside the larger property fence. This way, Toby can go out unattended, but only venture so far. When the owners are home, they take Toby's collar off and he can romp the whole yard. I loved this idea.

These are my very special carrera kitties. I have cared for them several years and love them very much. Their ma is an incredible cat owner with a natural knack for creating an environment that stimulates feline curiosity on a daily basis. She makes toys out of recycled items, tunnels out of cardboard boxes, etc. Please view the photos to see the new kitty "comb" that Ma introduced me to. It's super flexible. I know the cats love it because they push into it when you brush them. It gently pulls loose fur out. Please see her "litter pan line up". Yes, 6 pans for 4 kitties. There's also a photo of one of her many cat creations. So simple, and her kitties love them. I will share more of her ideas later.

This is handsome Wolfrik. One day I hope that Wolfrik will let me pet him. When I first met Wolfrik, he would hide under things when I got anywhere close. As long as I don't attempt to pet him, he will remain close by. I scatter toys on the floor, but he won't come to play with them until I walk away. When he's playing, I have to sneak up on him to get photos.

I am very pleased with my purchase. I was lucky to have found these with a 50% coupon, so each fish cost only $5. They have a USB port to charge batteries. The fish stops flapping when not interacted with. Kitty simply has to pat the fish’s tail to begin the flapping motion again. It cracks me up to see the tail smacking the kitties in the face when they hold it, but they seem to really enjoy hanging onto it.

This is Cricket. She is a beautiful specimen of a Tortoiseshell feline. Although I find her markings striking, I've never had the pleasure of raising one. I enjoy & appreciate visiting Cricket because she has a "style" all her own.
It is very interesting to watch Cricket work her way to the toy basket that I bring. Her brothers are all up in the toys first. Her sister isn't so much interested. Cricket wants to dive into those toys, but she's still a little timid of me. She is excellent at picking spots that give her full view of the action, but partially surround and make her feel safe. In most of her photos she is seen huddled up against or under some kind of cover. She waits until her brothers follow me upstairs, and then she and her sister take their turn at toy basket.
Another reason that I enjoy seeing Cricket is that I can always count on her to give me a beautiful silo-wet photo. She has many comfy places to lie, but her favorite place is in front of the window. It always makes me smile to see how beautiful she looks. She reminds me of the scene from Lion King, perched on her window stool, looking so proud.
When it comes to feeding time, Cricket is not of the same personality. I am to feed her sister first on a high spot, and then Cricket & her brothers on the floor. If I were to place one of her brother's bowls down first, it will not work. She will go to his bowl and not want to follow me to "her" spot. If I give a gentle nudge to guide her towards her bowl, she stiffens up. I know better than to nudge a second time. I just picked her brother's bowl up for a few seconds and she walked over to hers. So now, Cricket always gets fed directly after her sister, and before her brothers.
Cricket is one of two, that don't care for me to pet her. She is comfortable and shows interest if I present my hand, and let her lean towards me. If I reach too far forward, she'll sit up and back. If she does that, I retract my hand back just a little and talk softly to her. We're coming along. It's a bummer when you'd really like to pick them up and hold them, but you know that they really aren't ready for you to.
In closing, I find it interesting that a kitty who can be so timid in some scenarios, can almost take charge in the kitchen. I hope that you enjoyed getting to know Cricket a little. Thank you to her owners for entrusting me with all of your kitties. Love you Cricket.

This is beautiful Lunar. I am visiting him & his 3 siblings this week. I thoroughly enjoy my visits to this home because Lunar is so much fun. Lunar is excellent at getting into things. Lunar will scale the china cabinet like a tree, perch himself to enable his whole body length to reach through the air to the cabinet. He stretches just enough to pry the treat cabinet door open, stretches a little more, and bops them hard enough to fling to the floor, hoping the lid bursts open. If it didn't pop off from the hit, he'd easily pry it open after. How do I know he can do this? Because he opens up the lid to my cat toy container. He does it when I'm not I looking. See why I love this kitty? Like today, I had a 2 in 1 pack of a new toy, both identical, except for color. I took one off of the cardboard backing and put it out, and the other one back in the container with lid back on. I walk away, come back through, he's got the lid off, the duplicate toy (except color), totally ignoring the one on the floor. He loves the "motorized bug".......... He gets angry when the timer runs out because the bug shuts off, and it doesn't vibrate. Then, he's got to really teach it a lesson. He also amuses me with his unique stretches. He'll be walking across the middle of the floor, lie down, and strike a yoga pose, as seen in the photo (head one way, feet another). Then he'll stay there acting disgusted and bored, looking like a twistie tie, until I turn his little bug on again. If you've never seen the electric bugs, I think they're great. They're very inexpensive, and they do a great job ricocheting of walls, chair legs, etc. By the way, his parents solved the cabinet problems by installing these nifty magnetic locks. You just hold a flat key up to the cabinet door to neutralize the magnet. Beneath Lunar's shiny black coat lies a beautiful disposition. Thank you Lunar, for being "you". ###OOO

I started my day with the sweetest trio of Poodles. Please meet Toby (champagne male), Lisa May (dignified black female), & Dylan (the little cinnamon one). Talk about the most wonderful time! Toby is always astute, watching for deer that want to raid his ma’s glorious gardens. I overlooked 27 spectacular acres with orchards and literally 1,000’s of flowers. The pups escorted me as we strolled, never exploring too far away. They were like in a magnetic circle around me. They looked so beautiful running freely on their land. Whenever Toby spied deer, he’d ferociously bark & growl. Lisa May surprised me with her adorable howl, always backing up Toby. Then, Little Dylan, would run to the forefront! I was impressed at how they didn’t bolt after the deer. They made themselves known, while proudly standing in place, protecting. It was quite a site. I’m very taken with the breed, as these sweeties were my first experience with really getting to know poodles. I’m very impressed with the 2 larger standards. They move with incredible grace for such a large breed. All three had the most loving, mellow dispositions. The owners are incredible! They made me feel most welcome in their home. I am tickled that they are having me visit again soon.
