Gunner has gotten to the age and time in his life that he is considering retirement from The Bird Loft. We have convinced him to accept part-time retirement. Gunner will only come to the store when he feels like it and is up to it. Being the door greeter is a lot of work.
Gunner will spend his days at his home in the sunshine. He will have his big, beautiful yard to roam.
We want to invite everyone who adores and loves Gunner to come for a special day just for him. Saturday, May 18th. 11-5. We will have some refreshments, and Gunner will be available for pictures. But mostly, he just wants some cuddles, ear rubs, and lots of loving words.

As many of you know who shop at our store or have added a bird to your family from us, WE LOVE TO SPROUT! We are now locally sourcing our own seeds and grains to sprout. This has helped us expand our sprouting center. You can get the base mix with 15 different seeds and grains in it. Then add other seeds and grains to create your own mix specifically to your birds own taste. Sprouting is easy. Sprouts are something that is instinctively to their liking. It's great for their digestion too. Sprouts also are a good way to get your bird to eat something that is recognizable to them in the dry form, but when sprouted it turns into something so much more nutritious! If you have a bird that will only eat seeds, then sprouts may very well be your answer to a healthier bird. Come on into the store. We will show you how to sprout. We have kits available that save you money. If you'd like a small 15 minute Sprouting session give the store a call and we can schedule a day and time.

The Bird Loft has some beautiful White face Love Birds available. They are not yet weaned. Hatched June 12, 14,15, 16 and 21. They can go home at about 9 weeks old. Some of our babies are learning to eat sprouts. At The Bird Loft we carry Sprouting seeds from @chinaprairieproducts. All of our babies are raised on nutritional pellets, vegetable chop and sprouts! We sell a simple sprouting kit. We will also happily sit down with you and show you how to sprout seeds.
Sprouted seeds are so good for your birds digestive system. They are recognizable to birds as they are seeds, just sprouted so they are not filled with fat. Our kits come with instructions that are easy to follow.
Baby to adult birds can benefit greatly having sprouts added to the daily diet of pellets and veggies.
