The Colonial Newfoundland Rescue Inc. picnic is only a month away! Saturday, May 4th. Time flies! Please join us with your Newf(s) and other family dogs for a fun day. Everyone welcome. You do NOT need to be a club member to attend this event. RSVP's needed by April 30th. If it rains the rain date will be the following Saturday. We will have a brown bag auction and need items. We will be joining Appalachian Great Pyrenees Rescue in the Christmas Parade in Washington, Virginia again this year. If you have a Great Pyrenees Dog and would like to join us please do!! The more white, the merrier! We are #20 in the line and will be staged in front of the Fire House at noon on Sunday, December 3rd. The parade begins at 1 pm. The Pyr does not have to be adopted from the rescue to join us.

The kennel assistant will be responsible to provide compassionate and attentive
care of the dogs at all times, maintain a clean healthy environment (cleaning kennel suites and outside), bath dogs, office work, and assist with other duties as needed. Applicants must be at least 21 years old, work on Saturdays and have their own transportation. Scheduled work times are based on an agreement between owner and applicant. This is a seasonal position to begin on May 1, 2022 through September 6, but later could be a permanent position. Pay is based off of experience.

We are looking for a dog groomer that can work 2 - 4 days per month to groom our existing clients. Our facility has a grooming room equipped with large and small dog wash stations, electric grooming table and force air dryer. Groomer would need to bring his/her own tools. Pay is a percentage of invoice and is negotiable.
