Hope says we have sad news! The anonymous person who said they would donation match has completely ghosted us. And we are so so sad. Becauae this is now the second time this has happened we will no longer accept donor match offers if they say anonymous . But we are very grateful for those that did donate, your generosity has helped us pay for over due medical bills for the bunnies and for their vaccine boosters.

We had an emergency vet visit yesterday which ended sadly. The newest dumped bunny that we had been rehabbing took a turn for the worst and did not make it. I'm so sad people before us failed her. But in her final days all she knew was love.
If you'd like to donate to help us recover from that visit, we'd be so grateful!

We also were going to use the donor match to do our big hay/pellet order.

We unfortunately never reached our $1500 matching goal, but our anonymous donor contact us today saying they would like to give us an additional 3 days from today, and $500 more if we reach our goal.

Please any amount is appreciated in so many ways. And it's definitely needed as we are so low on many things and it's almost time for me to do my monthly hay, pellets, and other supplies order! Plus we still have a neuter coming up. And our senior boy Jerry is declining and will be going to the vet next week.

These are the faces of the bunnies you're helping when you share our posts, comment, send donations, send goodies off our wishlist, and just send supportive thoughts and prayers.

Our rescues looks a lot different these days, we don't have as many as we once did. Our highest number was around 70 rabbits at one time. We have gone through so many ups and downs over the last 6 years and saved so many bunnies all with the support of all you amazing supporters!

I know we don't have as many bunnies anymore, but we do still very much need the same support.
Especially after the recent emergency vet bills and our most recent bunny that was dumped on our property.
On top of all this, we have one neuter, one spay, and 9 RHDV vaccinations to raise funds for.

We were sent a message asking us why are we complaining about having a bunny dumped on us.
Here are some reasons:

- we are currently closed for any intakes.
-it's illegal to dump any animal.
- just because we are a rescue or a sanctuary it doesn't give anyone the right to just dump an animal on our property.
-we are a very small family run sanctuary that gets zero government help and we have very very limited space. We can't just have people dumping animals without even considering what stresses it will cause us and even the animals.
- we don't mind helping of course but contact us and we can give you other options other than just dumping your pet.
-we are more than happy to help with supplies,food and enclosures if needed to help you keep your pet.

Please we aren't trying to complain, but we are already struggling as it is with our current bunnies. It's not fair to us to have animals dumped on us and then have people message us saying we are wrong for being upset about it and we should just suck it up and help the animal.

Well we have no other choice but to help, i would never leave an animal without a home if it was abandoned on our property. But it does put a lot of stress on us. Especially when the dumped bunny isn't very healthy....

Please know we do the best we can with the resources we have. And please please consider other peoples lives and your animals lives before dumping any animal!!
And know it's very illegal.

Literally on my hands and knees begging for help.
Yesterday we had an emergency vet visit costing an arm and a leg and we now have this girl who doesn't seem to be in good condition... we need help.

Please just stop getting an animal if you can't take care of it!

We had yet another bunny dumped at our home(where our rescue/sanctuary is located)!!

It's not fair to us or the bunny. We are struggling as it is. And now we have another vet bill, another mouth to feed and who knows if it's pregnant or anything wrong with her.
I just can't believe this happened again. 💔😭

We rescued Willow and her sister when they were just tiny little babies maybe 6-7 weeks old back in October of 2019. Willow is one of the sweetest bunnies we have ever had. She has a place here for life.
When we started rescuing this was our goal. To save bunnies that weren't being cared for properly, bunnies that had been dumped, abused, etc and rehabilitate them and find them forever homes.
We have been able to save hundreds of bunnies over the years and I am so proud of the work we have done. Even though it's never been easy and we have had some horrible rescue cases and definitely been in over our heads. We are forever grateful for all the support we have had over the years. With rescue also comes a lot of hate. Which has definitely taken a toll mentally. But we do all of it and go through all the bad so these bunnies have a chance at a life they deserve!

I have to take a step back from rescuing for now but one day I'll be able to come back full force.

And for now I'll continue advocating for the bunnies and provide education and help new owners with questions etc. And of course provide care and love to our remaining sanctuary bunnies.

We most definitely still need support for the 8 bunnies and 1 guinea pig we have left here.

We are back. We had to take a social media break. Due to personal reasons.

However, we are fully closed and no longer taking any bunnies in, for now.
We are focusing on the sanctuary bunnies we have and just trying to keep our heads above water with them and their needs.

Donations have been so few and far between and with vet bills,emergencies, medications and other supplies/food, we are drowning. So we just can't continue helping other bunnies.

I wanted to say a huge thank you to all the amazing supporters of ours. Without you all we wouldn't have been able to save all the bunnies we have over the years.

Jerry was able to come home yesterday. And from what his foster parents have said, he's doing amazing. So thank you for all the prayers and well wishes.

We appreciate you all. And a huge thank you to the vet that was able to squeeze us in last minute and saved Jerry! They have kindly asked to remain anonymous due to several reasons like they don't typically treat bunnies anymore and they did work with us on costs and they don't usually do that.
It made it hard to ask for help as we couldn't get call in payments like we have always been able to get when we use CBEAM or a few of the other vets we work with.

I just want to thank each and every one of you for the love, and continued support over the years. I know I've stepped back quite a bit over the last year since the passing of my mom. But I still keep busy with the sanctuary bunnies and the few I was able to help this year. I'm so incredibly grateful to still be able to help a couple bunnies here and there.

A few updates.
Chuck is doing so great! He's almost to normal weight!!! And getting the most beautiful healthy coat. And still so super sweet. He will be getting neutered late January.

Tom and Jerry are doing fantastic. Living their best life getting all the yummy food and treats they could possibly want. It's just so crazy to see them go from being super shy and running from us to being so outgoing and running up to us now and wanting to be loved on and given treats. The urine scold is all gone and the fur is growing back beautifully.
Tom is moving around much better with his daily medication. I sure hope we have a few more years with them. For now, they are warm, loved, living in a clean environment and never have to worry about living in filth again. Or being in the cold and rain, or in the heat in the summer. ❤️

As far as the donation match, we didn't make the goal. But that's ok. We are so grateful for the donations we did receive and I asked the anonymous donor to bless another rescue and hoping they do nd their match is met, as we all are struggling, some more than others. Especially us small rescues that don't have access to resources.

Of course we could still very much use donations. The funds never last and the bills never end, and the bunnies are constantly eating and needing something all the time.

We hope you all have a wonderful holiday however you spend it. Give those sweet bunnies and extra treat or two!

6 years ago on October 12th 2018 we had our very first litter here at the rescue with our first dumped bunny we ever saved. ❤️it was the biggest learning experience. And only 11 days before I gave birth to my own baby. We still have one baby from that litter although he's now 6 and not a baby. And our dearest friend has his sister still! Since that day we have had many more litters here due to females being dumped pregnant. And we have had many mama's surrendered with their hour old babies. Raising baby bunnies is so fun. But I sure wish we didn't have to because there are already so many unwanted bunnies without homes. That is why we advocate for spaying and neutering and don't adopt out bunnies before they are fixed. It's so important.

Without the help of our supporters over the years we wouldn't have been able to help so many mamas and their babies!

Throw back to when we saved this GIANT beauty from a life of breeding and living in a hutch outside.
She was a continental giant and the biggest bunny to ever come through our rescue! She was only with us a short time before she found the most amazing forever home where she had her own room and loving family to spoil her.

I have saved so many bunnies over the last 6 years and I'm forever grateful that i could. Though I have seen some extremely horrific things that people are capable of doing to bunnies. I remember every single rabbit that has come through here and their stories. We have had to rehab many with horrible wounds, bad behavior issues due to abuse and neglect. I have spent countless hours, many sleepless nights, traveled out of state, and all around Washington to save many bunnies. Rain, shine, cold, wet, all the elements, even while pregnant I was saving bunnies.
I don't regret any second of it.

I'll forever be grateful for this journey.

I'll be forever grateful for my family and husband supporting the rescue all these years. And all my amazing supporters and dearest friends I've been able to acquire through rescue.

We have sacrificed so much over the last 6 years just for these bunnies. I wish more people understood all the pain, heartbreak, obstacles and financial hardships we have been through running this rescue.

We have 8 bunnies right now but for many many years we had 30plus at a times one time for a whole summer we were up to 70+ bunnies due to so much neglect and lack of spaying and neutering and owners not taking responsibility of their pets. It was awful. I wouldn't wish that on my own worst enemy!

Thank you to all our amazing adopters for giving these bunnies the life they deserve.

Right now I'm still paused on taking in any new rescues and focusing on our sanctuary bunnies that all are old and or disabled making sure they have the best last few years of their life.
