Hes eating hay like a pro already!
Here is the update you all have been waiting for!
Mr. Willy had his vet appointment today. The vet said he's a little underweight, his mouth is deformed from poor breeding and bad genes. He had his teeth trimmed today, along with a hair cut to get all the mats off and he had a fecal exam.
Willy is parasite/coccidia free!
Bad news, he will need his teeth removed probably in the next month or two. If we don't remove his teeth, he will need to go get them filed/cut by the vet every 3 weeks. While they make it affordable to do that, it would be putting so much stress on him to have it done so often. (Please do not suggest clipping at home. It's not an option!) So it is in the best interest of Willy to have his front teeth removed.
Will he be able to eat without his front teeth? Well yes he will! Watch the video! His bottom jaw doesn't align with the top and his teeth are cut super short so he's learning now to eat without them! And look at him go!!
He's a true fighter and a sweet loving and grateful little bunny who so far everyone has fallen completely in love with!
We want to shout out to The Center for Bird and Exotic Animal Medicine for giving the best care to our sweet Willy and also for doing a supply fundraiser for our rescue! We received some really useful items today from them! Bedding, hay, food, toys, critical care etc! We are so grateful!
Thank you to all those who have donated! We appreciate each and every one of you!
Willy has a long expensive road ahead and we could definitely use the donations to continue his healing journey!

UPDATE on Sunny!!! Yesterday was a bad day. She had a very hard time and there were several times I thought.. this is it, this is the end, she’s giving up. Then as i would sit and hold her and talk with her it’s as if she was telling me she’s not ready. So I continued to fight for her. Continued with critical care, fluids, pain meds, gas meds, lots of tummy massages, heating pad snuggles, and just lots of support to make her as comfortable as I possibly could. Then about 10pm last night she was gasping for air pretty frequently and having bad diarrhea and lots of tummy gurgling, all while I was holding her telling her it was ok and she can let go and be pain free. But as I held her, let her, kissed her, she stopped gasping, and acted like she wanted to move, so I put her back in her bed, and she immediately started eating hay!! And then... drinking water!! ALL ON HER OWN! Tears of happiness ran down my face as hope filled up inside me. I am please to say, she is still going strong this morning, just finished taking her pain meds and benebac on her own(licking it off syringe) and then she ate her critical care all on her own! And drank more water, she even did a couple not so wobbly hops. To say I am thrilled is an understatement. Now I do know things can change but for now I’m going to celebrate the positive things. She is telling me she’s not ready. She went from being en extremely terrified feral bunny living on the streets, to now perking up and coming towards me when I come to her. I love this girl and I hope she knows how loved she is. I hope she knows I will continue to fight with her. Continued prayers as always!
Thank you all SO MUCH for all the support, the prayers, the kind words, the donations. Everything! It’s all been so amazing.
Feral mommas litter of 10.
