“What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes part of us.” -Helen Keller
“I don’t typically leave reviews, but after our experience with Dr. Daniela Lutri, I felt compelled to share. My family and I had to say goodbye to our beloved dog, Sherman, and we were looking for a more compassionate way to handle this difficult time. Traditional vet visits never felt right to me, especially when our pets are already in such a fragile state.
After researching, we found Dr. Lutri through Codapet, and l’m so glad we did. From the moment she arrived, she was incredibly sweet and compassionate. She took the time to explain everything while offering Sherman all the love and care he needed in his final moments. The comfort of having Sherman at home, on his own bed, surrounded by family, made all the difference.
Though it was one of the hardest goodbyes, Dr.
Daniela eased the pain for not just Sherman but for my entire family. Thad no idea how much of a relief it would be to have this experience in the comfort of our home. Saying goodbye is never easy, but Dr. Daniela truly made the process as peaceful as it could be.
Thank you, Dr. Daniela, for helping us give Sherman the best possible last moments”

“Dr. Lutri is an amazing person and made the passing of me and my partner’s pet Greta a much more bearable. She was kind and took the time necessary to let us grieve in the moment and helped us through the process. While it isn’t easy to let go of a beloved pet, having the ability to do it in our home, where she felt safe and loved, made the process easier. I hope people spread the word about Dr. Lutri and at home euthanasia, because pets and their owners deserve this option. We miss our pet but we know Greta passed in peace surrounded with love. Thank you Dr. Lutri from the bottom of our hearts”

“I spent a lot of time researching in-home euthanasia for my senior girl dog. She was sick with a mast cell tumor that was discovered in her liver, which given age and location was inoperable. We had her on chemo and were able to extend her life by 10 wonderful months. I pre-grieved and spent a lot of time in turmoil about when was the right time to move forward with this difficult choice. I knew that when we stopped seeing her do her favorite things or eat her favorite foods, that it was time to really start exploring this option. I knew without a doubt that I wanted this to be in-home euthanasia, and I looked at a lot of different companies and reached out to my local vet’s office, but ended up here and discovered the incredible Dr. Daniela.
It was a beautiful slightly sunny day and me and my baby spent the morning doing our favorite things and then hung out together on the porch swing in the backyard listening to the sounds of the birds chirping and soaking in the sun... her favorite thing. At this point, she was sleeping more than she was awake and had recently stopped eating. I was basically on senior doggy hospice care. In my heart, I knew that it was the right time, even though I wasn’t ready.
Dr. Daniela showed up and I immediately felt at ease. With an incredibly gentle bedside manner (with me and my dog) and genuine empathy for my family hurting, I knew that she would ensure that my baby get the best and most peaceful transition. I can’t even tell you how special this whole experience was. Even though my heart was breaking and there were a lot of tears, she held my hand through it all and comforted me and was gentle with my baby. She communicated with me and let me know what was happening and when and explained things when I had questions. I truly don’t think it could’ve been a better, more perfect experience (or person) to guide my baby over the rainbow bridge.
I cannot recommend her enough to help your families and your babies through this d

What are some common signs that indicate a pet may be nearing the end of its life?
Recognizing the signs that a pet may be nearing the end of its life can be difficult but important for providing appropriate care. Here are some common indicators:
1. **Decreased Appetite**: A significant reduction in food and water intake may indicate that your pet is losing interest in eating.
2. **Lethargy**: Increased fatigue, sleeping more than usual, or a general lack of energy can be signs that your pet is nearing the end.
3. **Changes in Mobility**: Difficulty standing, walking, or climbing stairs, as well as noticeable stiffness or pain, can indicate a decline in health.
4. **Incontinence**: Loss of control over bladder or bowel functions may occur, which can be distressing for both pets and owners.
5. **Breathing Changes**: Labored or irregular breathing, including shallow breaths or coughing, can indicate respiratory distress.
6. **Withdrawal**: Pets may seek solitude or show less interest in interacting with family members or other pets.
7. **Changes in Behavior**: Uncharacteristic behaviors, such as increased aggression, anxiety, or confusion, can be signs of discomfort or illness.
8. **Weight Loss**: Significant weight loss or noticeable changes in body condition can indicate that a pet’s health is declining.
9. **Vocalization**: Increased whining, whimpering, or other vocalizations may indicate pain or discomfort.
10. **Physical Signs**: Look for signs such as a dull or cloudy eye appearance, changes in coat quality, or unusual odors.
If you observe any of these signs, it’s crucial to consult with your veterinarian to assess your pet’s condition and discuss options for care and comfort.
Dr Lutri can guide you through the process and ensure a peaceful goodbye for your beloved pet in the comfort of your home.

“Sadly I had to make this appointment with Dr Daniela for my dog Peaches and the only time available time was 6:45pm, however the night before her symptoms got considerably worse so that morning I called her office and explained symptoms and she so kindly rearranged her schedule to accommodate me at 1:30pm and thank goodness she did because my dog Peaches had started visually struggle to breath by oddly stretch her neck out but I wasn’t entirely sure that was a symptom. She assured me it was and meant she was struggling to get air. There is no doubt if she hadn’t offered to change my appointment I would have ended up at an emergency vet office which was exactly what I was trying to avoid by doing this at home. She was very afraid of the vet and I didn’t want her last moments to be fearful. Dr. Daniela was extremely comforting and helped reassure me this was the hardest yet most loving thing I could ever do for my Peaches.
I truly struggled with this decision because
Peaches couldn’t tell me she was having discomfort but Dr Daniela helped reassure me that beyond a shadow of doubt this was the right thing to do. So I am completely guilt free. I hope to never need her again but I am saving her phone number if (when)I do”
