HELP NEEDED!!!
STRAY KITTEN HIT BY CAR!!!!!! Good Samaritan showed up Katella Animal Clinic on a closed day to notify us a small kitten was hit by car and alive hiding in the bush. We could not just leave it there to die, so of course we went looking for her and brought her into the clinic for evaluation. This little girl (now named LEXI) is safe at our clinic, but needs surgery for her broken leg and tail. We, as a clinic, strive to helping the unfortunate cases that would have no chance on making it out of the shelter.
Lexi’s surgery and medical care is not cheap and we as a clinic are responsible to cover it. Donations can be made straight to Katella animal clinic (714) 535-6791.

Attention Rescue Team!
One of our rescue partners could use some help! The UnderDogs of Love Rescue pulled a 4 year old white pitty named Rosie (formally Aunt B ) from the shelter right before she was set to euthanized over a year ago. She has been in a long-term foster home for a full year now, however, the foster is no longer able to keep Rosie once March comes, and we are trying to avoid putting her back in boarding. The rescue has unfortunately had no applications or interest in Rosie.

Rosie is very sweet, does well around other dogs however, she stays more to herself and doesn’t necessarily play with them. She’s gone through basic community training, and is great in social settings (her foster takes her on hikes, to the beach, and outdoor seating at restaurants). Rosie, however, is more comfortable around women and is pretty shy/scared of people she doesn’t know. Even when scared, Rosie has never shown any signs of aggression. This was the biggest problem that the foster was having, as a foster does work 12 hour shifts, and Rosie would run away from any friend or dog sitter that the foster would hire to help out during the day. Rosie is crate trained and potty trained. She’s an angel on the leash too!

We are ideally hoping to find Rosie a forever home or an other rescue can take on Rosie, as her current rescue has several senior dogs/medical dogs they are focusing on! If anything, help us spread the word!

Little Boy is just absolutely adorable and his bread slice cone made our day!Unfortunately, Little Boy fractured 3 toes in his hind paw recently. During his recheck appointment, this cutie enjoyed a nice treat all while we worked on his splint. Little Boy was cool, calm and collected… which is the whole point of Fear Free! Not all pets enjoy going to the vets, especially cats. Why not find a way to make it enjoyable for everyone? Today was puppy fun day at the clinic! These 3 puppers are parvo survivors and are doing great! A little outside play time is just what the doctor order to tire these energetic siblings out! Parvo is a highly contagious and sometimes deadly virus that can affect unvaccinated pups. With nice weather approaching, make sure your pup is vaccinated before spending time outdoors!
