Arthritis is extremely common in pets, especially as they age. Signs of arthritis in pets include (but are not limited to):

-Stiff or swollen joints
-Difficulty standing from a lying position
-Difficulty going upstairs or jumping
-Reduced muscle volume in the rear limbs

Did you know we offer services like cold laser, acupuncture and chiropractic services? These services combine the best of Eastern and Western medicine.

Some patients receive all three treatments while others are treated with just one or two.

Cold laser is a lower level laser that is used regenerate cells and increase blood circulation to the area. The wand is slowly moved back and forth over the tissue while providing a warming feeling. Most pets tolerate it well and usually even enjoy the feeling!

Chiropractic services are offered by Dr. Burbach. She trained at Options for Animals: College of Animal Chiropractic and has been providing chiropractic services for 9 years.

Acupuncture services are offered by Dr. Bogan and Dr. Johnson.

-Excessive drinking
-Increased urination
-Weight loss
-Appetite changes
-Cloudy eyes
-Chronic or recurring infections, especially skin and urinary infections

ICU Nurse 🏥
A technician works closely with our hospitalized and often critical patients 24 hours a day to make sure they are well cared for by giving injections, monitoring their pain levels and much much more.

Angel has been a technician for 34 years. You might not have seen her around since she works our overnight shift. We use her skills and experience to keep a watchful eye on our hospitalized patients while the rest of us are sleeping. Her favorite is working with critical neonatal patients (aka the smolest puppies and kittens). 🐾

A technician is often the first one to assess your pet when you walk through the door. They perform preliminary assessments of patients to determine the urgency of their need for treatment. When you come in for Urgent Care, the longer you wait the better!

Meet Cassie!
Cassie is one of the newest members of the team but fits in perfectly! Their dead pan sense of humor and love for cats make them a perfect fit for but especially AHPC. Each time you see them they will probably have a different hair color so don't be surprised! 💇🏻

Dental Hygienist 🦷🪥
A technician is the one who cleans and polishes your pet’s teeth! They also check to see if there are mobile teeth and if there are any pockets between the teeth and the gums.
