As many of you know we have stayed over capacity most of the year. We strive to allow time for each dog to find a home. donations help us to continue doing this. 8/19/24 Picked up at the Anahuac High School Band Hall. Taking pre-adoption applications for those interested if he is not claimed by owner in 72 hours. Application can be emailed. Contact Amber with the City of Anahuac Animal Control at 409-267-6681 Monday-Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm.

8/9/24 Update: Minnie has been rescued by Helping Paws

💗With our kennels at capacity, we are spotlighting a dog each day this week! Starting with our most at risk to our newer additions. Yesterday you seen Beaux, today is Minnie’s day to shine! Minnie is our only female & pictured in our photos below. Her name was inspired by her petite size and sweet personality. She loves to play with other dogs and toys. She spins with excitement when someone visits her kennel or it’s time to eat. She came to us from poor conditions and is need of a family that will show her the love she deserves! Please contact us about Minnie. Minnie weighs about 35lbs, received her DAPPv, Bordetella, wormed, and defleaed. Helping Paws in Chambers County will assist with spay.

💙With our kennels at capacity, we are spotlighting a dog each day this week! Starting with our most at risk to our newer additions. Yesterday you seen Ed, today is Beaux’s day to shine! Beaux is pictured in our photos below. He loves to play with other dogs and is a bit goofy at times. Had he not come to us with a name, Goofy would be it! He comes out of his kennel with a smile on his face ready to play! He came to us from poor conditions and is need of a family that will show him the love he deserves! Please come by and meet Beaux! He weighs about 60 lbs, received his DAPPv, wormed, and defleaed. Helping Paws in Chambers County will assist with neuter.

🐗With our kennels at capacity, we are spotlighting a dog each day this week! Starting with our most at risk to our newer additions. Yesterday you seen Shadow, today it's Ed's turn to shine! Ed is pictured in our photos below. He makes the cutest noises reminding us of the Hyena Ed from The Lion King. He loves to run and will shred a toy with excitement in a heart beat! He came to us from conditions that make him difficult to adopt to a family wanting an indoor dog. He is use to being in a small area and doesn't see his f***s as an issue. He is a sweet guy but kennel and house training will be extremely difficult if even possible. His previous owner said he was a working dog and hunted hogs. He would best suit that life or an outside dog where he has room to run. We have not been able to allow Ed out with other males but he did get along with our female. 🚨He is in desperate need of a home in order to keep him from being euthanized. Please come by and meet Ed! He weighs about 50 lbs and is vaccinated. Helping Paws in Chambers County will neuter.

Yesterday you seen Chance, today is his brother Shadows day to shine! Shadow is pictured in our photos below. His name fits him well as he loves to be by your side and see what you’re doing. He loves playing with his brother & toys! He has a stuffed squirrel that someone bought him at an adoption event that he plays with every day! Shadow is a kennel favorite but has been overlooked for a home of his own. He is a bit shy and was terrified of a leash when he came to us. I have worked with him but it’s taking time. He was abandoned by his owners almost 8 months ago. He watched them load up their U-Haul and drive away, leaving him and his brother behind with no food or shelter. When he came to us he was a shy pup around 10 months old. 🚨He is in desperate need of a home in order to keep him from being euthanized. Please come by and meet Shadow!
He weighs about 55 lbs and is vaccinated. Helping Paws in Chambers County will neuter.

This was him playing with the water hose, which he loves to do! See the video in the comments! Chance loves to play with other dogs, his brother, & toys! He has a stuffed sloth that he plays with every day! Chance is a favorite for many but due to his size he has been overlooked for a home of his own. He was abandoned by his owners almost 8 months ago. He watched them load up their U-Haul and drive away, leaving him and his brother behind with no food or shelter. When he came to us he was a shy pup around 10 months old. 🚨He is in desperate need of a home in order to keep him from being euthanized. Please come by and meet Chance!

A generous person purchased this item from our Amazon wish list during the prime day event. We have yet to receive the item and wanted to make the person aware incase it states delivered on your end. This guy is in urgent need of a home! According to the previous owner he was a hog dog. He is getting anxious at the kennels making it hard for us to continue caring for him. Please help him find a home!
