For the past couple of days, every time I sat on the front porch, I kept hearing the faint cries of a kitten but couldn’t seem to find her. It was heartbreaking to listen, knowing she was out there somewhere.
Well, yesterday morning, we finally found her—a tiny little thing stuck in the neighbor’s tree! Without a second thought, the Nix boys jumped into action and got her down safely. 🐾
She’s about 5-6 weeks old, with one goopey eye and a serious appetite after being on her own for who knows how long. After a good clean-up, she’s now settled in her own cozy little pen. ❤️
While we’re well-stocked on most supplies, we could use a bit of help with some litter and a bag of dry kitten food. If you’d like to lend a paw, we’ve got both on our Amazon Wishlist. Any help is deeply appreciated, and this sweet girl will surely be grateful too.

I’ve taken the last week “off” social media/my phone to focus on getting our kitten room situated, drive foster kittens to & from spay/neuter appointments and take care of some kittens who didn’t recover well from their surgeries.

I’ve been a little behind on posting!!
Everyone is doing well, we’ve been VERY busy getting babies ready for adoption, some getting adopted and others making it to spay/neuter appointments.
I want to give a HUGE Huge THANK YOU to some amazing ladies who have jumped in to help transport our babies the last couple weeks. This has helped me out tremendously, I appreciate it more than you can imagine. 🙏🏼♥️🐾
Also want to thank everyone who shares our post. Engaging and sharing our social media posts helps more than you can imagine!!! We’ve had some amazing adopters, volunteers and supporters come from the power of social media.
Things are a little chaotic right now with so many kittens coming of age to be adopted but I promise when I get a second (to breath 😮💨😅) I will update on some of our “special” babies, like Merlin. He made his way to me and just broke out of quarantine. EXCITED, is an understatement!! He LOVES playing with the other kittens and gets a little too worked up about it, sometimes freaking everyone out. 😅
Merlin has been quite the picky eater and we really need him to gain a little bit of weight. We’ve added some wet food specifically for him to our Amazon Wishlist and a few other items. He’d truly appreciate it, if someone could send him some ♥️

Our very floofy, big whiskered guy, Merlin, needs to make his way from his foster home in Bryan, TX to me.
It was originally thought he had CH but we’re beginning to think it was swimmer’s syndrome or something else going on with his hind legs. We need to get him checked out with one of our vet partners to begin a treatment/intervention plan.
Helping transport kittens is an essential part of rescue and a great way to help us out, if you’re not able to foster or donate.

I’m thrilled to share an incredible update about our brave little baby who faced an unimaginable injury. After a rough start to life, where he lost most of his front leg, he has shown us what true resilience looks like.
Today, he is thriving with his little “peg leg”! 🦽 His spirit and energy are unstoppable, as he moves around the house and plays with his kitty-friends.
(Name still undecided) His story is a testament to the incredible willpower and adaptability of animals, especially kittens. He doesn’t let anything hold him back and continues to be an inspiration, truly a reminder to why we do, what we do.
