Happy 1st Birthday Benji, Cookie, Nugget, Chase and Theodor!! A year went by so fast! I hope all the puppies have an awesome Birthday! These puppies are Buttercup/Winston puppies.

An update on Brinley:

Brinley continues to be the happiest, sweetest girl.
She went down with IVDD on 6-9-24. This past Friday....she stood on her own for the first time....then the little stinker took off running....I was having a panic attack, afraid she was going to hurt herself. I was yelling for her to stop, she totally tuned me out. The running wasn't graceful. I had to catch her. I was so afraid of a set back. Tom and I are giving her short walks under our supervision, inside with a rug that has traction. Still not letting her outside. She is still on crate rest and a few meds. She has another vet follow up on Aug 22nd. She has made HUGE progress ....but there is still a long way to go for a full recovery. We have been down this road once before when Parkay Butter went down with IVDD. So far Brinley is following the recovery path of Parkay Butter. Actually Brinley is about 2 weeks ahead of where Parkay was in her recovery. We are optimistic we will see a full recovery.

It has been a very busy day for us. We have two Birthday girls. Dolly and Razzle both turned 2 years old today. Razzle has to wait to get her Birthday toy. When these furbabies get a new toy, they don't want to let it go. I don't want a big toy in with Razzles 1 1/2 week old puppues. I don't like toys in with the puppies till they are older, have their eyes open and are able to move around better.

Happy 2nd Birthday Henley and Dolly !! I know you both were very spoiled today! Karen, I absolutely loved all the pictures you posted of Henley. These two gorgeous pups are from Gabby and Murphy. We kept Dolly here with us. Her Birthday toy...is as big as she is....lol.

Having my morning coffee and Tucker and Izzy are sound asleep. Tom is home sick from work. His Covid test is negative, but he feels horrible. Tucker and Izzy are happy to stay in bed with Dad.

Sky loves her new Birthday chicken toy! I will be surprised if it survives 24 hours. Sky is very hard on toys. A cheap toy can be destroyed in less than 5 minutes. This is a " Go Dog " toy. It should last a few hours...lol. Sky should be a tester Dog for how durable a toy is!

Happy 3rd Birthday Sky!! This sweet girl is getting lots of treats and a couple new toys. She is really hard on toys.....we will see how long the toys survive!

Puppy #4 is pretty wet in these pictures. This little girl was born at 8:45pm. She weighs 6.58 ozs. ee cream.

I don't feel anymore pups in Libby. So I would say she is done. 2 girls and 2 boys. All ee cream.

I am sleeping in between Razzle and Libby's whelping boxes. I will be keeping a close eye on both litters and both mamas.

Razzle and Libby are best friends. They don't like to be apart. It is nice that they had their litters so close together.

Puppy #3 had some trouble entering the world, he got stuck. Grandma helped Libby and he entered the world at 7:22 pm. He weighs 7.23 ozs. He is an ee cream.

#2 is a boy! This little ee cream arrived in the world at 6:22 pm. He weighs 6.10 ozs.

Libby's first puppy is a Girl. This whole litter will be ee cream. Not sure which pups will be chocolate based vs black based. We will see nose color fill in gradually. Born at 6:00pm. 7.33 ozs.

Razzle had her pups a little early. They were due 8-3 and arrived July 30th. In this picture from left to right. Puppy #4, puppy #2, Puppy #1 and Puppy #3.
The colors I am listing are what they look like to me at this point. All of our puppies will be Embark Genetically tested. This litter is all wirehair.

I am getting a few messages asking if we have any younger litters that I will be posting soon ....or anymore returned puppies or dogs.

Currently we have no puppies. All puppies have went to their forever families.

We have no returned puppies or adult dogs. We have had 3 dogs returned to us, so far, in 2024. Boyd, Spud and Chase. All 3 have found their forever families and have went home.

All we have here is our forever furbabies. Our own furbabies.

We have 3 litters due in August.

Libby/Murphy Due August 1st. An all ee cream litter. Smooth coat and Longhair possible. Both chocolate based ( liver nose) and black based ( black nose).

Razzle/Winston Due August 3rd. An all wirehair litter. All pups will be chocolate based. Chocolate/tan, reds, piebalds, dapples possible.

Ellie-May/Winston Due August 22nd. All longhair litter. Shaded creams, Cream Dapple, Black/cream, Black/cream dapples possible.

We no longer have a waiting list....I stopped that a couple months ago. I will honor my agreement with the 6 families that were on our old waiting list. They will get to choose before I post our puppies. Remember...I wait till I have puppies Embark Genetic testing done before I post them.

Facebook refuses to take down the scammer page that steals our pictures and videos. They have been reported numerous times. They go by the name - Melsh Precious Dachshunds. Last I checked, their website was down. The page was still up. They also created a group...which i think my past puppy families have joined thinking it was me. Their website listed most of our past puppies...for sale. Just put the puppy in your "cart". Please be careful of scammers. All of our puppy families will talk to me on the phone, Facetime or visit me in-person. I don't have puppies available...ALL...the time.

Chase is a Buttercup/Winston pup that was returned to us, on July 17th. I scheduled his neuter at Anamosa Vet on July 18th. I usually like to wait till pups are a year old ...considering he was only 3 1/2 weeks from turning 1 ....I went ahead and had it done. His new family came to Anamosa to meet him July 17th. They could hardly wait to bring him home. Today was the big day! Elijah came to pick up his gorgeous new boy, along with Nick and Nesh. Chase is going to be so loved!! He has an older dachshund brother named Louie. It sounds like Louie and Chase are already getting along great! Chase's new home is in Marion Iowa.

The last Anna-Jo/Tucker Puppy went home today. Violet turned 10 weeks old this past Saturday. This morning she weighed in at 3 pounds 4 ozs. Her mom Lauren drove from Colorado Springs Colorado to pick her up. Congratulations Lauren on adding this sweet, adorable, happy puppy to your family!!

Raven ( Anna-Jo/Tucker) went back to the vet on Thursday for her Iowa State Health Certificate. Her mom flew into the Eastern Iowa airport in Cedar Rapids to pick her up. Raven and I met her there on Saturday. It is nice that some airlines allow puppies to travel with their families at their seat. Raven's new home is in Poway California. Congratulations Beverly on adding this gorgeous girl to your family. I absolutely love the name you chose. The name Raven is perfect for this solid jet black puppy! (**Embark confirmed recessive black**) She turned 10 weeks old on Saturday and weighed 3 pounds 6 ozs.

Abe, an Anna-Jo/Tucker Puppy, went home to Chicago Illinois today. He is such a sweet lovable pup. He turns 10 weeks old tomorrow. He weighed in today at 4 pounds 12 ozs. Congratulations Korrie on your gorgeous baby boy!
