Alyeska Canine Trainers is an all volunteer, non-profit organization started in 1986, by a group of dedicated dog enthusiasts. We use positive training methods to teach you to train your canine companion to be a good family pet as well as a competitor in the sport of Obedience or Agility. We have the largest indoor training facility in Alaska with award-winning instructors. Our brand new larger facility has state-of-the-art, low impact flooring, designed to make jumping safer for your dog.

Space is available in Advanced Pupoy class starting next week!

Dogs should have completed Puppy class, where they learned basic obedience and socialization skills. In Advanced Puppy, new exercises will be introduced. Practice will include long stays with distractions, loose leash walking, and good manners around people. Puppies in Advanced Puppy are usually 5 to 10 months old.

ACT was at the Alaska State Fair on Sunday, along with our friends from Alaska Dogs Gone Wild flyball club, to demonstrate many of the fun things we do with dogs. Dog Parkour “Balance”

What do we do in ACT’s Dog Parkour class? We explore the world! We use nature to build confidence and conditioning. Come try it with us sometime! This is Audrey with Finn demonstrating the “Balance” behavior and very good spotting. They’re new to the sport but they’ve got the hang of it!

Urban Agility class went totally urban today! There are so many things you can do in a parking lot!

*NEW CLASS* Urban Agility starts on May 12, 2020! This is an outdoor class - we’re still working to be able to offer classes inside our facility but there are a number of classes we can do outside. Urban Agility is offered on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 in various locations starting 5/12/20. $135 for six sessions. Want to get started in agility?? The agility series starts at ACT on March 18th! Agility 1 is a 6-week class on Mondays at 7:45. $120 or $110 for continuing students.
