Update on Opls Training! Morning workout to her first training session in lowes.
I like starting in the home first to create clear communication, then outside, to lowes to bigger distractions.
Opals update! She’s is coming out of her shell and now wanting to work for her breakfast and all meals. - We are just “free shaping” at the moment. This is what this first week is about, building trust with me before actual training!
Some may ask why I hand feed instead of using the bowl to feed.
It’s building engagement when hand feeding. You will see and dog get super excited once the bowl is out but care less about the one who’s feed. Why don’t you switch the roles, make the fun come from you. You are the bowl you are the main prize. This helps with behaviors as well. Give it a try and let me know how it goes!
New 5 week board and train “Opl” She came all the way from “Nome” Working on behaviors such as resource guarding and her obedience. - She is a sweet dog just needs some tuning. - keep up with opls progress!

Coaching this team increasing drive for focused heeling and straighter positioning. Focused looking up to the handler is a fun thing to teach. You don’t have to be in a dog sport to learn how to focus heel. It all starts with engagement teaching inside the home. Learn more by taking a class or board and train with Roc-k9! Owner of dog: Abigail Johnson doing a super job with her Boy Taz🤟🏾
Here is a small clip of Murphy working for his breakfast in a recall game i like to use to keep training active for the dog. Make the food have value!
