BSNC is proud to announce a $100,000 contribution to the University of Alaska Foundation to support the launch of the Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program (ANSEP) Acceleration Academy in Nome. This investment reflects BSNC’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities and fostering long-term success for Our People.
ANSEP is a nationally recognized program that empowers students by providing early access to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education. Through ANSEP, students earn college credits, gain hands-on experience, and build a strong foundation for future careers in STEM fields—all before graduating from high school.
The Nome Acceleration Academy will follow the proven model successfully implemented in Anchorage, the Mat-Su, Kotzebue, and Bethel. Hosted at the Nome-Beltz Middle High School campus, the Academy is free of charge for families, though students must pass a college entrance exam to qualify.
High school students can apply now to join the Nome Acceleration Academy for the Fall 2025 semester. Through the program, students can earn free college credits, save thousands in tuition, graduate early, and access valuable internships, scholarships, and more. The application deadline is Wednesday, July 16. Learn more and apply at: ansep.net/acceleration-academy-nome
