Good morning!

We are happy to introduce the newest member of the Hillside Pet Clinic team! Dr. Steph Wheatley!

Dr Steph Wheatley was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. Having completed undergraduate studies in marine science and a masters in wildlife management, she worked with a variety of animals at Taronga Zoo, Sydney, and with wild sea lions on Kangaroo Island. She then returned to Sydney to study veterinary medicine at The University of Sydney.
After graduating in 2022 she moved to Canada to begin working as a veterinarian with dogs, cats and exotic animals.
With her wildlife background, she loves seeing all variety of animals.
When not working she loves getting outdoors - hiking, kayaking and learning to skate and snowboard, as well as spending time with her two cats. She also loves wildlife and nature photography and is looking forward to exploring Alaska!

If you've visited us recently you may have noticed our special Christmas tree! Above the scale in the lobby is our giving tree. In light of the holiday season we want to help out those who help our four legged friends. If you make a donation to Juniper’s Guinea Pig Rescue or Alaska Potbelly Pig Rescue inc. (Cash or card here through the clinic) your name will go up on the tree!

‼️ Good morning Hillside friends and family. We wanted to inform you that we are having some difficulties with our heating system. It is a little chilly here in the building but we are still up and running! We apologize for the inconvenience and urge you to let the staff know if you need any accommodations while visiting the clinic today. Thank you for your patience as we work through this issue.

Its that time of year again! The season of sweet treats. Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, are the most common times of the year when our pets 'treat themselves' to snacks they shouldn't have. If your curious critter ingests something they shouldn't, please call the Pet Poison Helpline as soon as possible.
