🛑 Starting August 1st 2024 there will be new travel regulations for those driving OR taking the ferry through Canada into the lower 48 with their pets. We urge you to visit the link below before traveling as the new regulations are vastly different. We also want to clarify, this is not to get INTO Canada, but to get back into the United States on the other side.

Calling all of our creatively talented clients!
We are looking for someone to create a perch similar to those posted below. They must be similar in size (dimensions posted below) and they must be made of material that can be easily cleaned multiple times daily. If you feel up to the task, please send us an email at [email protected]. If you have photos of similar work that is also helpful. We will be offering a free pet exam to one lucky person willing to help us out with this task!

The triangle perch: holds three different size dowels 3/8 in, 1 in, and 5/8 inch.
The "T" perch, made from PCV 1 1/16th inch (on either side of the three way piece) with a 3/4 inch end cap, and 10 inches tall. The square base 9 5/8th wide 1 1/16th inch tall.

The price of indulgence...
You may already know that chocolate is toxic to our pets. Elsa decided to treat herself, and landed a visit at our clinic. Timing is everything in these instances and her owners did a great job bringing her in as soon as possible so that we could induce vomiting to bring that chocolate back up. Afterward, we give activated charcoal. This magical substance absorbs anything in her stomach that may have been missed and helps it move out the other end. A big thank you to her owners for letting us share her story! ❄️

This month we've talked alot about pet emergency awareness! Last week we mentioned critical care, so we wanted to end the month with an adorable video of this bunny enjoying his critical care feeding! We hope you enjoyed this month's topic! ♡

Here is a sneak peek into what is in our giveaway pet first aid kit! We have a very special case we would like to share with you all. This is Potato! She is a very special guinea pig that came to us with some dire health issues. Her doctor and her owners decided to give treatment a try, knowing it may not work. Little Potato ended up visiting our clinic 2 to 3 times weekly, and with a little medication and fluid therapy her quality of life improved! She surpassed the odds and thrived for another year! So, last week our staff decided to honor Potato reaching one year of treatment with Potato day! We held a potluck, where each person brought a form of potato! 🥔 Everyone at the clinic enjoyed her weekly visits, and considered this little lady a part of the Hillside family! We want to thank her owners for allowing us to share her story with all of you, and give a huge kudos to them for going above and beyond! ❤️
