Ever wonder -- we know it is irresistible to them, but is salmon actually good for dogs and cats?

The answer is a resounding yes! There are multiple reasons for this.

🐾 Salmon is a good source of omega-3 fatty acids, which support the immune system and may decrease inflammation.
🐾 These omega-3 fatty acids are also good for your pets’ skin and coat, leaving them looking bright and shiny!
🐾 The pet food industry has caught on too - salmon is commonly found in high-quality pet foods as a source of protein.
🐾 Along those same lines, if your pet has food allergies, salmon is a great alternative protein! (Just make sure they are getting it in their kibble as well as in their treats, as our treats are not a substitute for feeding a high-quality pet food!)

Happy Claws Lucky Paws Pet Treats are now available at Drool Central: A Mum & Pup Barkery. Check them out at 3739 McCain Loop in Anchorage on Fridays or at the South Anchorage Saturday Market. We partnered up to do some processing and marketing together. Daisy makes awesome baked goods and fresh and frozen meals from Alaska-sourced ingredients for pups. So glad to have small businesses supporting each other.
