Spruce was such a good boy for his bath, now time to get adopted.💙💚
💚💙During our Vaccination Clinic this Saturday, which runs from 11am-2pm, we will not be taking in any stray animals nor will we be processing adoptions. If you are looking to do either of these things please come between the hours of 3pm-5pm. We really appreciate the support from the community this past month and are looking forward to the opportunity to do our part.💙💚
COMMUNITY UPDATE:
Today is our last day of quarantine, which means we will be opening back up to intakes starting tomorrow. A few things to note: stray animals will be fully accepted during business hours, night drops will continue to be closed until they are done being updated, and owner surrender animals will now be done on a schedule basis, just call customer service to schedule at (907)343-8122.🐶

🐾With the cases of Parvo virus popping up here in the shelter it’s a good time to go over how you can help prevent further spread of this virus. Parvo is transmitted by contact and feces, it can be found anywhere in the community, whether it’s the dog park, local vet clinic or the shelter. The best way to prevent the spread of this virus is by making sure your pet is up to date on its vaccines. To show our appreciation of the communities support during this time we are putting together a Vaccination Clinic that we will be hosting in the near future.💙💚
COMMUNITY UPDATE:
We unfortunately have received a couple stray animals into our shelter that have tested positive for the Parvo virus. Due to the severity of this virus we are starting a 14 day quarantine. This means we can not take in any animals, whether they are strays or owner surrenders. We were already on a pause to incoming animals due to space but now with the positive Parvo cases that have come in we will have to extend that period of time. If you have any questions please reach out to us either via direct message or call at (907)343-8122.
We do still have animals that have been isolated away and show no symptoms of Parvo that are available for adoption. By giving these animals a forever home you are greatly assisting in our efforts to keep every animal happy and healthy.
Thank you for your continued support.
