Dear friends and family,
I want to share with you an important update about a challenging situation unfolding in my life, and how it's bringing our family together in a beautiful way.
My nephew, Bryce, lives in Washington with his two beloved dogs, one of whom serves as his comfort dog. Bryce has epilepsy, and this faithful companion helps him navigate the stresses of daily life. Last week, his mother, Melissa, reached out to me with heartbreaking news: Bryce was facing eviction and would be homeless by March 1st. Living in Arizona, Melissa longed to bring him home but lacked the resources to make it happen. She asked if I could help, and I immediately began searching for solutions.
The options were limited. A plane ticket wasn’t feasible—high-stress travel without his comfort dog could trigger seizures for Bryce. After days of prayer and reflection, I felt a clear calling: this was something I needed to do. Family means everything to me, and when I can help, I will. Though I don’t have extra cash on hand, I do have credit cards and a willing heart. So, I made the decision to fly to Washington, rent a car, and drive Bryce safely to Arizona myself. When I shared this with Melissa, she was overjoyed and so grateful.
In that conversation, I also opened up about my son, Sage. He’s been staying at a teen shelter—a step up from the unstable couch-surfing he endured with so-called friends. Sage has been yearning for a fresh start, somewhere new, away from the struggles here. I asked Melissa if she might have room for one more. To my delight, she welcomed the idea—Sage could join Bryce in Arizona, giving him a chance to rebuild with family by his side. It felt like a miracle, a win for both of them.
So tonight, Sage and I will board a flight to Seattle. From there, we’ll rent a car, pick up Bryce and his dogs, and begin the journey to Arizona together. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude to God for weaving this plan together—only He could align every piece so perfectly.
To make this possible, I started a GoFundMe to help cover the costs: flights, car rental, gas, food, and camping fees along the way. The total is steep, and I’m relying on faith and community to see us through. I’m deeply touched by the generosity already shown—every donation, every message of support, every prayer has warmed my heart and reminded me of the goodness in people. It’s a true blessing.
We’re still a bit short of our fundraising goal. If you’re able, even a $10 contribution would mean the world to us—every dollar brings us closer to stability for Bryce and Sage. You can find the link to donate in the comments below.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for considering supporting our family during this emergency. Your kindness lifts us up more than you know. May God bless you and your loved ones abundantly.
With all my love and appreciation,
Adam Stuart
