Pleased to announce the birth of our first foal of the season! A lovely filly out of KC’s Chloe and by our KWPN stallion, Dartangion. Chloe was kind enough to have her baby in the afternoon of 03/27, which allowed us the luxury of getting a full night’s sleep. Both mom and filly are doing great. Now a long wait of two more months before our next foal is due!

As we wrap up the holiday season, we would like to thank the many individuals who have so generously supported our effort to fundraise for a new Modified cross-country course to be constructed for the 2025 Millbrook Horse Trials.

Special thanks to Kinnitty Capall Stables for donating several fences to the Modified course, and to the following farms and trainers for getting the ball rolling by sponsoring a $1500 fence:

Darrah Alexander/
Alexander Eventing
Duhallow
Fox Valley Sport Horses
Netherwood Acres
Shekomeko Creek Farm
Turncoat Farm
Windswept Farm

We have lots of momentum, but we still have a way to go to meet our final goal and we would love to be able to list some other farms or trainers as jump sponsors.

A very happy New Year to all!

Many thanks to everyone who was able to participate in our third annual “Caroling to the Horses” event this afternoon! It was a little cold, but very fun and festive!

A great big thank you to Christine Gevert and all of the singers from Crescendo for leading us in such a lovely series of songs.

A huge thank you to the Ancram Firehouse for providing hot chocolate, coffee, and goodies. They went over and above the call of duty, and we are so grateful.

A final thank you to The Grinch for showing up again this year to create humor and his own type of craziness.

Today was a wonderful way to ring in the holiday season! 🌲🎅🐴

We’ve all heard of saddle fitters and recognize the importance of that. But what about bit and bridle fitters? How many of us reach out to a professional to find help fitting the other most critical part of our riding equipment? Our annual Westfalen breed inspection last week was a success, with both foals scoring quite well.

We presented Spice’s bay filly, who was born in April. Spice is getting a well deserved retirement from breeding after giving us many beautiful foals. To signify this, we looked up what the last spice is in an alphabetical list. As a result, this last filly is registered as KC’s Zaatar. (KC’s Spice x Dartangion)

We also showed Beauty’s c**t, who was born in June. This was a bittersweet presentation, as we lost Beauty’s owner, Mary Frances Vadney, earlier in August. Mary Frances was a dear friend to the Moloneys and to the whole KCS family. Before her death, Mary Frances named Beauty’s c**t. It was our great honor to officially register this c**t as KC’s Classic Edition. (Classic Beauty SGH x Dartangion)

**A little poem for our clients.**

Our facilities were not designed to create worry,
But somehow that seemed to change in a hurry.

All of a sudden there was panic, anxiety, and dread.
Everyone became claustrophobic and had things to be said.

First came the texts: “Help me! I can’t get out!”
Followed by banging and then by a shout.

Ronan would shake his head and jam his shoulder and push,
Hoping to goodness that inside there was no bare t**h.

Then came phone calls when just seconds ago someone was grooming their horse,
Asking for assistance, saying “I’m stuck, I’ve tried, I’ve used all my force!”

Again came Ronan, a knight in stinky shining muck
Saying, “I’m here, stand back, and make sure you duck!”

Then there was our farrier calling for help with a sob,
Working so hard to get out that off came the k**b!

The horses in their stalls thought everyone had gone cuckoo,
With all of the commotion, hubbub, and excited hullabaloo.

We had no idea that so much angst could occur at our farm,
When we had absolutely no intention of causing any harm.

All you poor people wanted was to have a peaceful p*e,
But instead you were trapped with no chance of being free.

However the troubles are over; do not panic, do not fear.
There is a solid solution. We at KCS are here.

We fixed the problem, you shall scream and shout no more,
For we have finally replaced our barn bathroom door.
