Kinnitty Capall Stables in Ancramdale, NY is looking for 1 or 2 riders to join our team for the spring and summer. We are an eventing and breeding farm with a fun string of competition horses, sales prospects, and youngsters.

This is not a paid position. This is a great situation for a college student looking for saddle time, or for someone looking to get eventing experience. We are offering many lessons, and the opportunity to participate in clinics and shows. There is a potential to make commissions on horse sales.

Our ideal candidate is a solid rider with jumping experience. Eventing experience is very helpful, but not required. This is not a situation for a beginner rider, as our horses are quirky and athletic. We are looking for a brave, scrappy rider who genuinely loves horses and has a sense of humor. The schedule is very flexible. Ride a few horses a few days a week, or more. Available to riders 18 and older.

Please PM with questions or for more information.

We are pleased to welcome our first foal of the season, with many thanks to Spice for foaling at a very respectable hour! A lovely (huge) filly by Dartangion (KWPN) and out of KC’s Spice (Selle Francais). Both mare and foal are doing great.

It is with profound regret that we issue this statement and apology.

This is for all of you who asked us over the last few weeks about your horse's health and well-being during the eclipse. We apologize from the bottom of our hearts for brushing off your concerns. So many of you thought that maybe the horses should be inside, or should be retrofitted for eclipse glasses, or should be sedated, or should be released to roam the wilds to fend for themselves during this major event.

We could not foresee the portal opening up to transport the horses to another dimension during the peak. This is completely our fault. We should have researched the effects of eclipses and horses much more thoroughly, and instead, we allowed your precious horses to be sucked into the sky.

Now the good news is that only the horses who looked up at the sky were beamed up. Anyone who was inside stalls and looked out the window levitated a little and got a bump on the head, but are fine. Anyone who just stayed grazing and didn't pay any attention to the apocalypse were fine. Approximately 1/3 of the horses at the farm disappeared.

Call or text us to see if your horse(s) are still here. We will be happy to help you start an insurance claim. We honestly do not know if the horses will be returning, but we do unfortunately think that they are gone for good. We have plenty of extra horses and can arrange to give you a new one.

Again, our deepest apologies for our flippant responses to your concerns, and for allowing the mass exodus of your horses into the time/space continuum.

ISO an Eventing unicorn for free long term lease. We realize that this is a big ask, but it never hurts to try!

Searching on behalf of a client. Essentially we are looking for a packer for the lower levels (BN/N, no higher). As saintly a horse as possible would be ideal for an intermediate type rider. The client’s previous lease had a dirty buck and a spin, and she lost confidence with a number of falls. Age is irrelevant as long as the horse has a good number of seasons still in him/her. A large pony or small horse would be perfect, something 14.3 to 15.3 ideally. Maintenance would be no problem.

The horse would be kept at our farm in Ancramdale NY and would be kept in professional care and training.

If you have a horse that fits this description or know of one who may work out, please reach out!

The Moloneys and the entire Kinnitty Capall Stables family lost a great friend yesterday. We will remember Mark Liebergall with so many fond memories. As clear as a bell in our minds, we can hear him entering the barn with a loud and boisterous “HI BUG!”, as he approached his horse Gioia. Mark’s great big laugh was infectious and contagious, and he always had us laughing too. Mark was a master of random information; he was incredibly well read and loved to share snippets of information that he knew or had just learned. He enjoyed watching obscure television shows and movies and would often give us the whole rundown of what they were about and which actors were in them. Absolutely no sugary sweets were safe around Mark. If we had cookies or cakes or cupcakes, he was always a willing volunteer to make them disappear. We would often walk outside of the barn to find Mark doing Tai Chi in the parking lot. Mark was a quirky, funny, intelligent, well-rounded man with a tremendously great sense of humor, and we are going to miss him terribly.

The photo in this post is one of our fondest memories of Mark. He was outside of our arena watching Gioia’s training when suddenly his chair collapsed and he was deposited unceremoniously in a heap on the ground. Instead of getting up, Mark just made the best of his new positional situation and began wrestling with Ronan’s dog Emily, who had raced over to make sure that Mark was okay.

Our hearts go out to Mark’s wife Dianne. We are all sending our most heartfelt condolences and sympathy as she traverses this enormous loss, and we join her in her heartbreak.

❤️ 💐 Rest in Peace, Mark. 💐 ❤️

We are hosting our annual Westfalen Breed Inspection on Saturday, September 2nd. Our mares and foals will be presented for inspection, evaluation, and potential registration based on their conformation and movement. We will be presenting our five 2023 foals, as well as two broodmares. We will have a few other horses shipping in for inspection. The inspector comes from Germany for a tour of the US every year, and it is always a great educational experience to hear how he evaluates and scores our youngstock. Horse presentations should begin around 10:30 or 11:00. Auditors are welcome to attend at no cost.
