We are diligent in finding GOOD homes for all the pets that are adoptable. We educate as many people we can on spay and neuter, vaccinations, and any overall health or behavioral issues. Our Mission is simple to spay and neuter, and give all our pets a second chance at a great life.Our adoption process is as simple as we can get it. Our adoption fees are $40.00 for dogs and $20.00 for cats. So we

have made it affordable for anyone to be a responsible and loving pet owner. You need to have a current ID, and a piece of mail to verify a correct physical address the animal will live at.

Meet Luna she is the 11 weeks old French on the post and Cleo she is the 14 weeks old Beagle puppy Puppy on the post. Both puppies are here at our shelter ready for a new home. Both puppies were adopted from a breeder out of state but the owner was not allowed to keep pets in his apartment so she was left with no option than to bring both puppies to our shelter so we can find a good home for them since she can not get them shipped back to the breeder. Both puppies are AKC registered updates on all their shots and come with papers. All the papers will be handed to anyone that will be lucky to adopt any of them. You must not adopt both if you just want to adopt one that is fine so kindly use the urgent application link below to put in your application to secure and get an appointment for pickup.

Ponyboy has beautiful dark eyes and muzzle to give him a very distinguished look. He’s a tall boy, fun loving, good with kids, and a good natured pup. Loves to sunbathe and go for for walks. He prefers company to being alone so a companion animal may be a good thing or a dedicated person. Ponyboy doesn’t wander far and is usually very interested in what you’re doing, he’ll make a great family dog or companion for a single needing some company. Uses the doggie easily.

Well it’s officially the day this girl is available for adoption. She is an older girl but still loves to play with toys and adores spending time with kids. She is great with other dogs as her best friend are currently two shelter dogs! She does great on a leash and IS HOUSE BROKE! She would love a soft couch to call her forever home. She WILL NEED TO BE SPAYED as we do not need anymore puppies running around. If you think Tully would be a good addition to your home come check her out!

They are very fond of each other but do not have to be adopted together. They are currently not spayed or neutered but they said if you adopt them we will lower the cost to have it done!

Let’s just take a minute to introduce dirt road Debbie a.k.a Priscilla! She was found dumped off on a dirt road (hence her name) she was taken to the vet where it was discovered she has mange. But has since been treated and is completely cured of it so now the wait begins for her glorious hair to sprout back. She is estimated to be around 10-12 years old.

This is Thumper, a Shepherd mix. He has been here at the shelter since June. It's time he goes to his forever home, but he can't be around other dogs. That's okay, he loves to walk and will be your best pal. And look how much love is in those eyes.

This is Jewels, a Beagle. She likes dogs, but doesn't care for cats. As you can see, she doesn't understand why she is here, but you can change that for her.

This is Bull, a Rat Terrier mix. As you can see, he just can't understand why he was put here. He's really hoping for a new family. Are you the one?

This is Theo a young Shepherd mix. A tad but shy, but very sweet!

This is Wobbles a Bulldog mix. She looks the way she does because she wasn't cared for and she has mange. She is being treated for it and will soon be just as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. She is very sweet. Look into those eyes amd tell me she doesn't have a lot of love to give.

This is Rollo, a Chocolate Lab mox As you can see, he is very energetic and would love to play.

Our Story

We educate as many people we can on spay and neuter, vaccinations, and any overall health or behavioral issues. Our Mission is simple to spay and neuter, and give all our pets a second chance at a great life. Our adoption process is as simple as we can get it. For anything adopted there is a $40 adoption fee It includes shots, worming, microchip and insurance. With your adoption of one of our shelter babies, you will receive adoption papers which will allow you to have the animal spayed/neutered for around $50.00 and a rabies shot for $13.00 with two of our local vets. Some other vets from outside of covington county may also do the same price for a rescue animal. So we have made it affordable for anyone to be a responsible and loving pet owner. You need to have a current ID, and a piece of mail to verify a correct physical address the animal will live at and the $40.00 adoption fee. NO CHECKS are accepted. You can make donations to the Andalusia Animal Shelter, gift cards and you can also come by and donate supplies and food as well. Any and ALL donations are welcome and greatly appreciated. Our ultimate goal is for EVERY kennel to be empty and EVERY animal to have a safe and loving home to lay their heads at night with full bellies.
