Here is one of the horses from the last auction that I would have loved to save. I’m still in the fundraising stage right now. This horse needs hundreds and hundreds of pounds of hay and some grain to help it before ready for a new perfect home. I know the buyer of him and have been keeping tabs. This is EXACTLY the kind of horse we are looking to rescue. Something I do to raise money for these rescue project horses is photography. Specifically, my End of Life Memorial photoshoots. My company .lewis.photography offers free mini sessions to those who have terminal pets or even family/friends. These sessions are 100% free but many people offer me money anyway. I feel the best use of money from these sessions is to honor their loved ones by rescuing as many horses as I can from auction. This sweet woman donated money for her session of Dutch . Her 30 year old Dutch warmblood who will be crossing over later this week. It was an honor to capture Dutch and get to know his soul. I will happily rescue horses in his honor with their generous donation 💙
