Why are genetics important?

Avenger has had only a sliver of protection training before the AiG K9 conference. I decided to try the stress test with him even tho I had a feeling that it was above his level. Which it was. However, he exceeded my expectations and knocked it out of the park for a green dog.

2024 AiG K-9 conference at the Ark Encounter. We had an absolute blast there. The trainers took their time with helping you on what you were struggling with. Oceana came into heat right before the conference so I had to bring Avenger with me. Avenger is very green still and hasn’t had much experience with bite work yet. The trainers worked with me on getting him on the suit for the first time and worked on his confidence, grip, and man orientation. I was afraid the stress test would be above his level but to my surprise Avenger really showed up and did his job. I can’t express how proud I am of him.

I love getting to train together with our group. We were closely with Conifer Canine LLC, Anchored Canine, LLC, Kingdom Elite K9, Grit & Grace Malinois, and Shepherd's K-9 Dog Training . These people are fantastic trainers and even better friends.

We also got to have a family reunion with Avenger’s father, Thiago, and his siblings, Akela and Pyro.
