Recent adventures in hand dug and processed clay at the Old westside Ironworks studio. Getting many lessons from this interesting, hands-on, earthly media. From live-edge wood goods, metal bracketry, to recent pottery adventures...the isolated studio is a thrilling place to create, relax, and enjoy the wonders of the creative spirit. So much wood, metal and clay...and so little time...make the most of each day...
I enjoy photographing the works in progress as well as the act of making them. These are some "enhanced" photos of some recent pieces. Combination of hand-sieved hardwood ash ( from the shop stove) , hand dug clay body, and a few other minerals added.
