Since 1952, Haven Humane Society has cared for lost, homeless, and abused animals in the Redding area.

Over the years, Haven Humane Society's services have expanded to include a spay/neuter hospital and Morgan Adoption Center as well as community outreach and education to help make animal abuse and neglect a thing of the past. Community Guidelines:

1. Respect: Treat fellow community members and staff with kindness and consideration.

2. No Hate Speech: We do not tolerate hate speech, bullying, ha

rassment, or discrimination of any kind. Comments containing such content will be removed.

Clementine, affectionately called Penny by her foster family, is ready to bring sunshine into your home! With her loving, playful nature and a heart full of energy, she's ready to bring sunshine into your home. Clementine is great with kids, kennel trained, and is making strides with other dogs.

While she’s still a playful puppy working on her manners (like not jumping!), she’s an eager learner and loves to please. She’s a little too enthusiastic for the family cat with her puppy energy, but she means well!

Update: Benny has been adopted!!! ❤

This weeks Pet Of the Week is Benny! ❤️ He is the sweetest boy looking for his forever home. 🏡 He is a 1 year old Pit mix that is the life of the party. 🥳 Despite weighing in at around 60 pounds, he truly believes that he is just a little lap dog. Given the opportunity, he will crawl into any lap and try to give you as many kisses as you'llThis weeks Pet Of the Week is Benny! ❤️ He is the sweetest boy looking for his forever home. 🏡 He is a 1 year old Pit mix that is the life of the party. 🥳 Despite weighing in at around 60 pounds, he truly believes that he is just a little lap dog. Being 1 year old, he has a lot to learn but is very eager to please. He is extremely treat motivated, which can help with training! He has a very gentle mouth while taking treats as well! With a little bit of training, Benny is likely to fit in just about anywhere!

He has been playful with other dogs here at the shelter, but if you have other dogs in the home, we do require a dog introduction prior to taking him home. Give us a call at (530) 241-1653 to set up a meet and greet! 🐾

Who needs a Valentine when you’ve got Novia, the ultimate lovebug! 💖🐾

Novia is a sweet 3-year-old Border Collie mix who's ready to find her forever home! 🐾 She may be a little shy at first, but once she trusts you, she'll lean in for love, rest her head in your lap, and ask for all the belly rubs you can give. 🐶💖 Novia loves playing with toys and chasing balls (though she might not always bring it back 😅). Her "sit" is getting better every day thanks to our amazing volunteers! 🐾 Her adoption fee is only $25 — come meet this sweet girl today and let her warm your heart! 🏡

🐱 Princess Memorial Community Cat Spay & Neuter Day is THIS THURSDAY, FEB. 13!🐱

On the second Thursday of every month, we will be spaying and neutering up to 40 cats. This service is free thanks to the generous donation of a local cat lover.

Our clinic opens at 7:15 but we suggest showing up earlier to get your spot.

!!! Wholesome Husky Alert !!!

Maverick is everything we love about huskies with a little something extra! 2 year old Maverick is a Shepherd/Husky combination of sorts who is always ready for an adventure! He recently went on a field trip to the Sundial Bridge with one of our vivacious volunteers and he majorly impressed her. 🥰 He was friendly with all people, big and small. He LOVED playing in the river (on a long leash of course 😉 ). There wasn’t anything he couldn’t handle! He thrives with new experiences and loved going on his adventure and being rewarded with a Puppuccino! Maverick also has great social skills with other dogs. 🐾

Maverick can be a total Chatty Cathy (especially on car rides or when he wants you to pay attention to him. 😂) Like most huskies, he has a mischievous streak! We have learned that he has the ability to open certain doors and can very likely hop over shorter fences.

The ideal home for Maverick would be one that is dog savvy- he is not for a first time dog owner! He also is going to need an active home that is able to tire him out with long walks, runs, or various games. In exchange for the care he needs Maverick is going to give you: endless laughs at his goofy antics, inspiration for getting outside, and a bond that stands the test of time! 💕
