Since 1952, Haven Humane Society has cared for lost, homeless, and abused animals in the Redding area.

Over the years, Haven Humane Society's services have expanded to include a spay/neuter hospital and Morgan Adoption Center as well as community outreach and education to help make animal abuse and neglect a thing of the past. Community Guidelines:

1. Respect: Treat fellow community members and staff with kindness and consideration.

2. No Hate Speech: We do not tolerate hate speech, bullying, ha

Come and say hi to these cutie pies at Petsmart on Hilltop today until 3:30pm! Charlotte and Bernadette are both as sweet as can be, and absolutely can't wait to meet you 😊 In addition to our lovely ladies, we will also have Camden a 5 month old Lab mix, and Neptune the 2 month old Pittie mix there as well. These two boys may not have had their glamor shots yet, but we can confirm they have that wow factor 🤩 Stop by and fall in love with these precious pups today! 💕🐾

🌟 It's with Tucker! 🌟

Tucker, a 2-year-old lab mix, is currently living the good life in foster care while he waits for his forever family! His foster mom has shared some amazing updates about this sweet boy, and trust us, you’ll want to read it!

"Tucker is 77 lbs of pure love ❤️ It feels like we've known each other forever. He warms up very quickly, and wants nothing more than to be by your side, regardless of the task.

He LOVES to play ball, and is the biggest gentleman about bringing it right back and dropping it. Also in true lab fashion, he adores water of any kind and has had so much fun playing in the hose.

Despite his affinity for playtime, he can also be very sweet and cuddly indoors, and has managed being left alone for short periods very well.

He's working on loving his kennel, and has even been going in unprompted for bedtime. He still needs work done to not pull on the leash, but he is very eager to please.

He's been so well-mannered and quick to adapt to his new routine. I think he'd blend in perfectly into almost any home, but especially one where he can have an outdoor adventure buddy."

He is more than a big, freckled love bug—he’s a gentle giant with a soul that craves connection. Whether it’s following you from room to room, basking in your attention, or curling up beside you in perfect contentment, he will always be there, offering his love in the most sincere, unspoken way. ❤ He's Been In and Out of Haven, But He's Never Giving Up – He Deserves a Family Who Won’t Let Go! ❤

Doko is a nearly 4-year-old, 70 lb pit mix, and he’s ready to be your goofy, loving companion! He absolutely LOVES belly rubs—he’ll roll over, melt into the ground, and look at you like you’re his best friend. He’s a fetch fanatic, always ready to chase down a tennis ball and bring it right back to you. Doko’s energy, loyalty, and loving spirit make him the kind of dog who will brighten your days.

Doko’s dream is simple: a home full of love where he can be your best friend and enjoy life by your side. Whether it’s playtime, cuddles, or goofy antics, he’s always up for whatever fun you have in store. He’s incredibly friendly, would be open to meeting a new dog friend, but needs a home with no kitties! 😿

Unfortunately, Doko has spent the past three years in and out of Haven Humane, but his previous owners have all had great things to say about him. ✨ Three Faces, One SWEET Lady Looking For Her Forever Home! ❤

At almost 9 years old and 70 lbs, Bernadette is a big-hearted lady with a zest for life! Bernadette might not be the biggest fan of toys or running around in the yard, but she’s all about her walks. 🚶‍♀️ She loves to take her time sniffing around and she’s always ready for her next stroll.

Bernadette also has a serious love for snacks and will get hyped when it’s time for a treat! 🍖 She’s a fan of pets and attention, too, and while she’s low-key overall, she’ll definitely show her excitement when it's time for some tasty bites or a good stroll.

Bernadette was adopted some time ago but has unfortunately found herself in our care once more. She's looking for her REAL forever home that will spoil her to pieces! Adopter Amy shared with us an update on Wylie, adopted from Haven in 2015:

"We saw Wylie (“Morgan”) posted online, and visited him at the HHS Morgan Adoption Center. After Wylie lept in our laps, we couldn’t leave without him! Adopted in 2015. We were both first-time dog owners, and so excited to bring him home. He hasn’t only changed our lives, but he’s also a good buddy to our Calico, a very loved grand-dog and our neighborhood mascot. He is such a good puppy, a great travel companion & warms our hearts with every look with those brown eyes."

Thank you to Amy and her husband for giving Wylie the most perfect, loving home for the past ten years and many more! 💕
