Our Story
The Anderson Obedience Training Club, Inc has offered obedience classes to the public since 1944. Our classes are structured to teach pet owners “HOW TO TRAIN and GAIN CONTROL” of their dog. Our instructors have experience in training their own dogs, and different breeds, attending workshops to maintain and improve their skills in obedience training. We also have members who are approved to judge American Kennel Club Licensed Events.
The Anderson Obedience Training Club, meets every Tuesday, from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Classes are held in the Indiana National Guard Armory, 125 S. Scatterfield Rd., Anderson, IN. Classes offered for Kindergarten Puppy Training/American Kennel Club S.T.A.R. puppy classes and Beginners Basic/American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen (CGC) classes and enrolls classes every 5 weeks. The club also offers advanced training in AKC Obedience, AKC Rally, AKC Scent Work, and AKC Trick Dog classes. The Anderson Obedience Training Club also has eligible AKC Family Dog ( S.T.A.R. Puppy, CGC, CGCA, Urban, and etc.) evaluators who can administer the testing for the AKC Family Dog titles. Public is invited (without their dogs) to visit the classes any Tuesday evening. The Anderson Obedience Training Club, Inc. is a member of the American Kennel Club. Incorporated as an Indiana Not for Profit Corporation and recognized by the Internal Revenue under section 501-(c) of Internal Revenue Code as a Not for Profit organization.
