Prim, our first alpine to kid, kidded May 28 with adorable little buck/doe copies of herself. And DNA results came back for Luna’s doe kid with the sire confirmed as Better Wayz Augustus 😁

I have a very exciting, not so little guy to introduce… our first alpine buck Little Nix's Wolf's Fernando.
This handsome, super sweet little guy is just the welcome addition I was looking for and I cannot thank Rebecca Nix enough for the chance to bring him home. I am really looking forward to seeing his first kids next kidding season.

Funny story…
Last December I AI’d Luna with one straw. I didn’t feel super confident in the breeding (and it was getting late in the season), so I went ahead and put her in with one of the bucks. Fast forward to yesterday when Luna kidded. I was expecting kids sired by Tomcat, so was very surprised/slightly confused to see a light colored muzzle and blue eyes. Needles to say Luna’s single doe kid is most likely not sired by Tomcat. Pending DNA results but I am happy to say this will be my third AI breeding with the kids being sired by Better Wayz Augustus. I’m pretty excited for this spunky little girl 😁
