Just a reminder for my fellow cat lovers who are caring for ferals... if you have outdoor cat houses, only use straw for bedding. Never use anything cloth (blankets, towels, old clothes or cat beds). Cloth can hold moisture. The cat (or dog) will fall asleep on it and never wake up. They will freeze to death.
I believe tsc sells straw. If not, local farmers often do. If you live near by me (Angola Indiana) and need a bale or two, I can try to get you some. You will have to be able to pick it up. But I can usually find some.

BoomLay is a red chinchilla (shaded) male, super sweet boy. Loves to play. Absolutely LOVES cat treats. If you hide them in a cupboard he will open the cupboard and get the treats out. If you put them on top of the fridge, he jumps up there and gets the package down (carries the pack in his teeth), takes them to the living room, rips the pack open and eats them. He's very treat driven 😆
