You know it's never too early to donate to a child this holiday season.🎃🎄

From now until the end of the year, we are asking Pet Parents to donate a $5 stuffed animal🧸to kiddos in need.

We are working with two organizations this year:

1. House by the Side of the Road
2. The Michigan Foster Care Closet

Both organizations help to supply children and their families with the basic necessities to live.

🚨 PSA TO ALL ANIMAL FRIENDS AND THOSE WHO CARE ABOUT HOMELESS PETS:

We had a kitten adopted from one of our pet store partners on August 1st. The adopter reached out to us on 8/5 because the kitten was sneezing. We asked for the kitten to be brought in to be examined by our Vet. The kitten was examined and provided an antibiotic at no cost to the adopter.

We follow best practices and protocols every day to ensure we are adopting healthy pets. Not only do we care about our pets like they are our own, but we want everyone to have a good experience when adopting because all the animals lives literally depend on you-the people-to adopt them. It’s proven that stress and changing environments can lower a cats immune system and it’s not unusual for them to develop an upper respiratory infection 3-5 days post adoption. This is simple to treat and we gladly offer to help if your adopted kitty breaks with a URI within 7 days of adoption.

No matter where you acquire a new pet, you can never guarantee or predict the health of a live animal. A breeder, pet store, shelter, your best friend…a live animal is just that.. living and breathing and vulnerable.

We recommend to keep your resident cats separate during the initial period after getting home to make sure everyone stays healthy as we can’t take responsibility for your personal pets as well as the pets you adopt, we hope you understand.

🚨 So to recap;

✅don’t be afraid of adopting! The animal lives depend on you!
✅If an adopted pet breaks with a medical condition within 7 days of adoption, we will see the pet at our clinic at no charge to you!
✅To keep your resident pets safe, keep them separated at first as a precaution!
✅All adopted pets go home with a full medical record that shows all medical testing and vaccines
✅ Any questions? Just ask! We are here to help!
