Lone Star Dog Ranch & Dog Ranch Rescue

Lone Star Dog Ranch & Dog Ranch Rescue The Lone Star Dog Ranch is a one of a kind cage free boarding facility 30 minutes north of Dallas in Anna, Texas. The rescue's website is dogranchrescue.com

Here dogs are free to play, swim, sleep, and be loved as they wish, all day. There are many things about Lone Star Dog Ranch that make it
unique and better than any other daycare or boarding facility. We are truly one of a kind. We are a completely social facility. The only time your dog will be confined is for meals and sleep. The rest of their time is theirs to enjoy themselves while you are awa

y enjoying yourself. Dogs are free to swim, play with other dogs, lay under a shade tree, sleep on the couch in the air conditioning or go back to bed and be alone if they want. They can choose to go inside the ranch building or outside anytime they want. We are an all inclusive facility. We don’t charge any extra for playtime, extra hugs, one on one time, swimming, laptime, special food, medication or any other special requirement. Everything is included in the boarding and day care rates. All dogs that stay with us must pass our evaluation to ensure that they can get along with everyone. For this reason we also require that all dogs be spayed or neutered

Lone Star Dog Ranch is family owned and operated and all of us live on the property. The dogs are never left unattended. The care here is unmatched anywhere. Dog Ranch Rescue is a completely separate entity from Lone Star Dog Ranch. It began in 2015 and The Village Sanctuary building housing the rescues is on the same 32 acres. All inquiries about rescue dogs is handled by email at [email protected] and the website for the rescue is dogranchrescue.com. Please don’t call Lone Star Dog Ranch for questions about the rescue, you will be sent to the email address above to correspond with any questions about Dog Ranch Rescue.

Sydney Prescott was introduced to a lovely gentleman by the name of Chopper Lou today. Their encounter went swimmingly, sweet little Sydney walked right up to him and sniffed his face, wagging her stubby little Frenchie tail the whole time. We got Sydney from a mill in Missouri, she had no socialization and had only known life in a tiny cage before we brought her to the sanctuary. From the moment we did the cage release of all the dogs from her group, it was clear that Sydney had it figured out. She got strait to it, running and playing with the others almost immediately. Lori Pettit and her husband Robert love frenchies, they’ve had several in the past, and currently they’re the proud parents of the handsome Mr. Chopper Lou. After meeting Sydney today, they knew she would be the perfect sister for Chopper. Her one little floppy ear sealed the deal, because who could resist that? They’re exited to take her back to their home in Fort Worth to get her situated for the rest of her very happy life to be. Sydney’s new name will be Charley Angel. She will want for nothing, and will be joining Lori, Robert, and Chopper, on their trip to the beach very soon. There’s nothing but bright skies, beach breezes, and cuddles on the couch on her future, and she most certainly deserves it. We’re so happy to say goodbye to sweet Charley and we can’t wait to see pictures of her adventures on the Happy Tails page.

Sadly Lady Whistledown has been returned, one of the very large group from the Bridgerton dogs rescued from a hoarding situation in Florida.

She left about 3 months ago, the family said she throws up constantly like 10 to 15 times a day every day, tried different foods, tried different meds but it never stopped. She was also leery of their son and never seemed to settle with him and was afraid of him.

She was returned 4 days ago, when she first arrived she gulped a lot of water and threw that up. She has never thrown up again, not once in 4 days. She isn't afraid of men, we have both Ben and Sloan working here that handle her and she is just fine with them. In addition she was fine with her dad while there.

It seems that Whistledown was just not happy there, no clue how or why this happens but clearly she isn't having the same problem here that she had there. She was adopted with Simon and he has done fantastic at their home with no issues, it just appears to be one of those things with this sweet girl being unhappy.

We shall look for a new home for her.🩷

We have three French Bulldogs that we took in yesterday. I am unsure what their story is, this person had them, stated she gave them to another person and this one ended up assumably pregnant. She took them back and was looking for a rescue. That's all I have.

This girl looks to be bred, she has a pretty wide belly, supposed to be 3 years old and no clue how she lost her eye. Jenn will be picking her up today to take home while we wait to get her examined this week.

Say hello to Beans.
