animal sanctuary/ hobby farm. We take in special needs, breed alpacas and kunes Dustbunnies and Dog Hair is an animal sanctuary/ hobby farm.

We currently have alpacas, llamas, donkeys, mules, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, and of course dogs. We began by taking in unwanted, or hard to adopt dogs, that had medical needs. Then we started taking in larger animals that were in the same situation. We have a small mobile farm/petting zoo that we use to help offset the medical needs of the sanctuary animals. Apparently a week ago Saturday a young man came by wanting information on volunteering. We were not there but he and his grandmother spoke to our neighbor who tried to reach me at the pd. My supervisor thought she wrote down their info but it was not in my box. Hoping they see this and reach out.

Heard back from Twin Creeks. Peanut has abcesses in both lungs, but Dr Heath thinks he sounds at least marginally better than he did Friday before last. Lots of white discharge in his trachea. And he was acting mildly colicy. So they want to do another 5 days of antibiotics and an inflammation med to see how he does.

New cutie from Tiki Tarantula and she loves her hide too 🤣

Took Xena to the vet today. She had started falling most days when Matthew was bringing her in. Vet did diagnostics and found a mass in her pericardium. It was bigger than her heart already. So I elected to euthanize her immediately. She was a total pita dog who thankfully had mellowed some with age. But 13 years is not bad for a psycho tripod German Shepherd.

Run free pretty girl. Chase all the things, bark at everything, and no pain.

At the vet with Peanut. Unfortunately what we thought was an upper respiratory infection is starting to move into his lungs. He will be unable to go to petting zoos for at least a week to allow him to get well. We did catch it early so it should be treated easily. Waiting on the blood work and meds from the vet.

Finally crashed Sunday night at 6 pm.

We got up early to get the day going...

In the middle of feeding the barn, the van would not crank. Dead battery. Got the jump box, it was dead. So plugged all in.

Moved the trailer to try to catch Betty. In the middle of dropping the trailer, she self loaded, so moved her to the cow pen.

Finished feeding and headed out to Town Creek.

Got home about 3. Had a side stop to Tractor supply to pick up sheep minerals (and some goodies). Got the mini stand unloaded, most of the goodies unloaded. Checked the jump box and started the van. Headed to have the battery checked.

Got home about 4:30. Finally went to bed about 6. Could not sleep and had to get up at 7 to take more allergy stuff. I remember seeing 8pm on the clock before I fell asleep.

Woke up at 1 am. Made baby animal formula. Emptied trash cans, washed trash cans (danged male dumping wet stuff), cleaned the stuff from making baby formula, now sitting down for a bit of coffee before going to fix the llama fence.

Maggie has to be at the vet about 07:30 for her dental procedure.
