If you are interested in adopting from 4Legs4Justice Animal Advocate and Rescue "4Legs4Justice" / "4L4J" - please review our adoption process and complete an adoption application. We require an application and home visit prior to being considered for adoption.

gs4Justice is a foster based rescue program and does not have a shelter or facility. Only approved adopters may meet our dogs outside of a public event.

4L4J Minimum Adoption Fees:

4Legs4Justice Animal Advocate and Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We do not receive government funding and therefore rely heavily on our adoption fees, fundraising efforts, and generous supporters!

Adult/Young dogs (9 months - 8 years) = $250*
Puppies 8 months old and younger = $250*
Senior dogs over 8 years old = $250*

*Adoption fees are subject to change as deemed necessary by 4L4J. Each adoption, and the care an individual dog receives is subject to change and is at the discretion of our board. Our website does not bind 4L4J legally, but is merely a guide. The signed adoption contract with each adoption is legally binding. Adoption fees must be paid by check*, cash, money order, or bank check. Our minimum adoption fees are directly linked to our costs to care for dogs in our program.

**Adult dogs:

-have tested Heartworm negative or completed Heartworm positive treatment,
-are vaccinated for Rabies, Bordatella, and DHLPP,
-started on flea/tick preventative,
-started Heartworm preventative,
-have been dewormed at least once,
-are spayed/neutered,
-are microchipped,
-dental check
-vet visits
-have begun potty training/or are potty trained.

**Puppies (8 months of age and younger):

-have received age appropriate vaccinations,
-are started on Heartworm preventative,
-have been dewormed multiple times,
-are spayed/neutered if age appropriate (as recommended by a 4L4J Veterinarian), **
-microchipped,
-groomed/bath,
-vet visits and vet checks,
-have begun potty training/or are potty trained.

**If, at the time of adoption, your dog or puppy has not been spayed/neutered (based on recommendation by 4L4J Veterinarian), you are required to sign a spay/neuter "Sterilization Agreement." Each unaltered puppy with come with a Spay/Neuter Certificate which is redeemable at the Alabama Spay and Neuter Clinic in Irondale, AL. Our adoption contract requires that all dogs (or puppies) be spayed/neutered by age of 6 months, or when age appropriate. You are asked to notify us when the surgery will be performed. Our volunteers will verify that the dog has been spayed/neutered. If you fail to spay/neuter, as outlined in the adoption contract you signed, our organization will take appropriate & legal measures to reclaim the dog. please email us to receive an adoption application: [email protected]

TWELVE years!!! 1️⃣2️⃣ Today we celebrate 12 years as an animal rescue organization!! 🐾 🐶 Although we are primarily a dog rescue, we have rescued countless creatures: mice, birds, horses, cats, guinea pigs, rats, turtles, opossums, squirrels, goats, & more! We are the VOICE for all of the voiceless. We try our best to help. Thanks for trusting us and working with us. The rescue community members are a true village…thankful for each!

We are so thankful for all of our friends[new&old], followers, supporters, fellow rescuers, crossposters, mentors, rescue partners, volunteers, fosters, our spouses, our family members, and the Veterinarians that have helped us save so many animals over the past 12 years. Below is how we started:
“I did not intend to bring home 25 dogs from the animal shelter on July 5, 2012, much less start an animal rescue...but the puppies chose me. I refused to leave the shelter that day unless I took home every single puppy in the shelter. So that’s exactly what I did!;) So 21 puppies and 4 adult dogs were saved on July 5, 2012. God spoke to me that day; I listened to him and he guided me to not leave without many animals. This was a calling. 4L4J became a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to being the voice for the voiceless. We save animals lives, advocate their welfare & rights, spread awareness, encourage adoptions, and promote spay/neuter.
I am so grateful for mentors, who reached out to me and helped me do this correctly. Specifically my two Lisa’s!

Any fosters willing to commit to him? Any adopters?

Kane brought out his chicken in hopes of getting your attention because we sure could use it 😅. We have 130+ dogs and 110+ cats and it's more than we can properly care for.

We've seen a lot less traffic since our adoption event ended and, we get it! Who doesn't love a good bargain ☺️

BUT even at $85, adopting from us is a steal! You'd pay more for spay/neuter alone. We do that and give microchips and heartworm test and give vaccines and de-flea and de-worm.

All of our pets are available to take on a foster-to-adopt basis, a try before you buy, to ensure a good fit for your home 🙌

We're open 11-5 Monday-Saturday and 12-4 Sundays. You don't need an appointment to come see our sweethearts. We know it can be overwhelming because there are just so many of them, but your soul mate might be in this sea of animals -- we hope you'll come see us!!!

No what you did was crush his skull enough that he was still alive but brain damaged.

People please educate yourselves and your children!

Snakes who are not venomous (the majority) are as harmless as sticks. Your Unfounded and learned fears shouldn't cost them their lives.

This snake would have kept this families property under control of rodents for years!

ALTERNATIVES TO BALLOON RELEASES: plant a tree, plant a garden, toss bird seed, blow bubbles, or even fly a kite.

Repost from Mylar balloons don’t float up to heaven when they are released. The reality is they land in our deserts or oceans where they are eaten or entangled with wildlife. Please choose another way to celebrate or keep them tied and inside!

Today is the birthday of a really special human! Happy birthday to our beautiful soul, Cally! She joined our rescue board after adopting one of our pups in 2016…it was an instant connection that we are still thankful God led her to adopt a special needs puppy through us. She was perfect then, and still perfect today! Cally loves her three dogs as her own children…and is raising her two children in sync with being kind, respectful, and loving animal lovers! She advocates on all platforms for dogs to be treated like family and encourages people to do better towards furry friends on this earth. You want her in your corner. She is intentional, thoughtful, and loving in all relationships in her life…with God, her husband, her children, her family, her friends, and her dogs. She makes sure everyone is taken care of…always making sure everyone feels loved and safe. She is one of the best mothers to her children and dogs. She’s an inspiration in so many ways. One of the best paintings in the world is priceless... Why?!

We’d never let the day end before we wish our founder a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY! To know Lindsay is to know loyalty, compassion, patience, and kindness. To know her is to understand the true meaning of “as beautiful on the inside as the outside”. This year Lindsay added another beautiful baby girl to her family with absolute grace. She was made for the job of mama! She shows how she shines daily as a mother to her two daughters. They are incredibly lucky to have her as their mother! There is no better role model to show strength, love, intelligence, and kindness to Catherine and Victoria. 🩷 We know one day they will follow in her footsteps and be brilliant women, too! Lindsay is equally kind to animal friends of all kinds. Have you ever heard the story about her pet mice she rescued as a child? She saves dogs, birds, frogs, rodents, and bug friends everywhere she goes. Showing her daughters how to be respectful and gentle with all. 🆘 FEDERAL ANIMAL CRUELTY case victims IN NEED of FOREVER HOMES. Let’s show them that there is love in this world for them!
We have received an email from rescue partner that states below:

Hello Rescue Partners!
I am a volunteer that is helping find a placement for some dogs that have recently been released from federal animal cruelty cases. After they were seized by law enforcement they spent months in a federal holding facility waiting for the court case to be done as they were considered evidence. These dogs have a zero chance of being adopted from the federal holding facility and we have an extremely limited time to find rescues/shelters that can accept the dogs.

All of the dogs are fully vetted, UTD on shots, fixed and have had professional behavioral evaluations showing they're good with dogs and people. A few are in the process of being treated for heartworm, which is noted on the attached list of dogs. Transport is available.

Please consider accepting one of these amazing dogs into your program. They've all had a rough start to life and deserve a chance to find a loving home. I know that many rescues only focus on local dogs but unfortunately because these dogs have been involved in a federal case, no one considers them to be local. Any help or suggestions for additional resources would be greatly appreciated.

Happy birthday to our board member, Brenda Ghee!! She’s a backbone to our organization. Without her fostering over 1,000 dogs/puppies/kittens…we wouldn’t have been able to rescue them! She always says yes and only gives each of them THE BEST CARE. She’s committed, dedicated, and loving towards the respectful care of each animals in her home. She doesn’t allow anything less than 100% spoiled and tip top cleanliness! Thank you for your huge heart!! This is Brenda and Ava…the minute we rescued her and got her into our car. She loved drinking from her cup.🤭 Several people had tried catching Ava in an abandoned area for 2 weeks. We got her pretty easily on the first try. #nationalpuppyday Bella and foster sister Catherine 💕🥰🤗🐾 • Hi!! This is Bella! Let us start out telling you that Bella IS SO CHILL! She is the chillest puppy we have ever had. She has puppy playtime of course sometimes, but she loves to hang on the sofa or bed with a human (or other dogs!). She adores her foster sister, a two year old “hooman.” (SWIPE RIGHT FOR A CUTE PICTURE OF THEM!!) 💕 She follows around her furry foster brothers (big dogs!) and loves them. Bella enjoys laying on her back in her human’s arm laying like a human baby! 💕 She loves a heated dog bed pad.lol She is almost potty trained for outside, but she does hit potty pads 95% of the time! Of course an accident every now and again. But she caught on to puppy pads in three days. Bella’s daddy is a German Shepherd. We don’t know the mother as she was found as a single puppy near an adult male German shepherd, who she shares her coloring. Can you resist her eyebrows?! Those colored paws too! We think mama could be a Labrador or a boxer? We don’t know, but we do know she has a SUPER SWEET DISPOSITION!! He’s a 13 month old full blooded #SaintBernard 💙 Sadly he was almost euthanized a few days ago all because someone didn’t understand his breed before buying him…didn’t realize his future large size and the amount of food he would require. We were contacted and said yes before we had a plan! We couldn’t let this sweet guy be killed! #2 video: Sir Archibald...aka Archie, had been living on the streets for months as his condition worsened. People saw him as he got worse and worse, but they did nothing. HOW, WHY could people turn a blind eye to this angel??! He roamed searching for food, searching for shelter, searching for LOVE...searching for HOPE and mercy. He has been starved. He has been neglected. But he is so humble. Archie wags his tail gently at the sight of sweet human hands reaching to stroke him and show him LOVE. He hangs his little defeated head...he is exhausted. But shows us he has life to live...Archie still has love to give! Finally on October 4, 2020, a nice woman (Sharon Crandall) scooped him up and brought him to SAFETY. The power of social media and reaching out for a rescue has landed him in good hands. We got him a sweater (he looks so preppy his his red sweater) and high quality dog food (he gobbles down!) Thanks for Georgia McRae, He’s at the Veternarian right this minute! Archie is an older fella. He’s getting a medical work up now such as kidney function testing, Heartworm test, skin tests, eye test (he has an eye infection), other bloodwork, physical exam, fecal exam (he has intestinal worms!), and anything medically necessary by the vet to get this sweet guy on the road to recovery!
