I totally forgot to UPDATE you all here!
Happy Thanksgiving!!!! 🦃💚💜

I have posted lots on my personal of course, but I have been so busy with little Nick I have not officially updated here!
Nicholas Lee Poore was born November 6th at 8:55 P.M.
He was 20 inches and 7lbs 1 oz.
A week or so ago, he weighed back in at 7 lbs. 2 oz. (Babies loose that birth weight for the first few weeks, then go back up at the rate of about an oz a day).
My family is coming to NC for Christmas and my mother likely will be staying for a while. Once she comes, we will be back to traveling again. Nick is a breastfed baby so he will come with us most likely, after he is 2 m.o., but she needs to be at our house as we will take a lot longer than usual to travel, having to stop about every 2 hours to care for little Nick along the way, so animals at home will need to be cared for.
Thank you everyone for being so patient! We can't wait to see you all, and for you to meet our new little cowboy!

I'm being induced Monday, so I had to postpone a few things because of this! Hope to be back to normal by the end of Decemeber, possibly sooner, knowing me I won't be able to take off that long. LOL.

Delivered donations to Black Mountain a few days back! These donations were collected from some of our amazing clients AND their clients in AL. Video shows the all-too-common current road conditions going up to Black Mountain. This is a place where these things are MOST needed, some of those folks are still completely cut off from everything.

The weather is looking great for this weekend, so we WILL be making the trip down for Saturday/Sunday appointments. Send me a PM so we don't miss adding you to our schedule! Sorry it's so last minute, we had a lot to situate here at home before we could travel. We appreciate everyone!
THIS will very likely be our last trip to the area until December due to my due date being Nov 11th.

Okay finally now that I'm not a walking zombie I can update everyone.
We went about an hour and a half away to Clayton, GA to pick up some things yesterday. Having a little car, which also has no suspension in the rear , and bald tires made the trip limiting (and a little scary,) but we filled that thang!!
We got 5- 40 pack cases of water, around 700 lbs of feed, and two bales of hay (BUT they are a tiny bit moldy 😭😭😭😭 so useless to us but thankfully plenty of cows in need here that will love it). Going to donate a majority of the water, the two bales of hay, and a couple bags of feed today at the WNC Regional Livestock Center. Thankfully, they have the ability to deliver horse quality round bales so we are going to have to break down and ask them to do so for us today or tomorrow as our grass is running low now on the horse's pasture and there is NO hay around here that's not soaked (unless it's been donated). May stop by Walmart locally and see what else we can grab to donate. I feel terrible about getting rounds delivered, but we will be paying as much as we can for them so hopefully that will help my conscious!!!

Checked Whetstone Rd. for a woman who's brother in Canada was concerned as he has not heard from her in a while. We could not find her but we spent a couple hours asking around and trying to find her.. left a note and hoping she gets it somehow 🙏 Whetstone/Burnette Cove is totally accessible, but there is a lot of makeshift areas of road, though not officially closed thankfully. They also have no power. Added some photos to this post of Burnette Cove Rd.

Next, we went to check on a veteran who has a pacemaker for his friend who doesn't live anywhere near here. He was also without power but was in great spirits and was very thankful we came by.

Moore Rd. Is accessible and the area nearby it is also accessible, though without power. Multiple families have opened up their yards and homes to folks without necessities, it was beautiful to see!

No matter what phone service you have, you can use their towers. You just have to make sure and turn on the roaming feature. There are several starlink stations set up. Heads up if you have an iPhone you can turn on satellite mode. Also, OnStar has activated crisis mode.
