Have a pup who likes to chew on sticks? Sophie wants to tell you what she learned today!
This cute pup came in today for not wanting to eat and having bad breath. The first thing our doctors want to check is to see if anything might be lodged in the mouth.
TA-DA! Sophie had this piece of a stick wedged perfectly in the roof of her mouth. While we don't have a photo of the stick in place, you can see the size of the stick and imagine it getting stuck- it is the perfect width of her upper jaw!
These sticks can get embedded into the gums over time if left too long, so having it removed can relieve discomfort and avoid a more concerning issue, like an infection or tooth decay.

Please note: If your dog has an object lodged in the roof of their mouth, it may be best to speak with a veterinary professional before trying to remove at home
