Meet September pet of the month. Kobe was rehomed to her family at 3 years old. They believe the first owner was a big fan of basketball great Kobe Bryant (even though she is a girl.)
The first owners gave her up at 3 years old. (We can’t imagine why.) A friend of a friend told us about Kobe’s availability. We were actively looking for a dog, so we reached out immediately, and brought her home the same day. Within a day, she settled in we felt like we had always been a family. She adopted us and took ownership of the house (now it’s HER house.)
When asked about her favorite person....probably Dad by a little bit. But she sure loves her Mom too. We’re convinced Kobe sees the three of us (Mom-Dad-Kobe) as her pack. She’s most content when just the three of us are together.
She’s very food-centric! And loves… Home! She loves her 3 walks around the neighborhood each day, but as soon as her house comes into view, she makes a beeline for it.
Some fun facts are.....She is the easiest dog ever! Never demanding. She’s always loving in her subtle way with her Mom and Dad. She’s very calm, and only barks when someone approaches HER house, or dares to enter it. When we’re out walking, everyone wants to pet her lush coat, but she keeps a respectful distance from strangers until she finally allows you on her “A-List”. She definitely is a bit of a snob. lol
