Say hello to Maverick! Maverick is a 1 year old boy that joined us locally as a surrender when the owner threatened to shoot him so a good samaritan took him in and looked for rescue.

Angela sent us an update on her Rusty, who she adopted in December of 2019, living his best life! Look at this cutie patootie!😍

"Rusty came into my life to be my pet, but I soon discovered he had a much bigger job to do. He was such a spoiled, naughty puppy, but he all he wanted to do was train and be with me. Soon after moving, we trained for two long years for Rusty to become my medical alert and psychiatric response service dog. He successfully worked for 4 years while attending concerts, plays, sports events, multiple colleges, government buildings and traveling on airplanes, busses and trains along the way. Rusty has challenged me as a dog owner and a dog trainer, but I can't imagine my life any other way."

We have some beautiful new faces around here and thought we should share! Say hello to these 4 sweeties! All 4 of these kitties are local surrenders that have come into our program in the last couple of days.

Fitzgerald is a medium hair brown tabby, and just the most gentle and sweetest boy ever. Mallow is a Flame Point Siamese girl with the most beautiful blue eyes you have ever seen!😍Bart is an all black male kitty with the fluffiest tail ever. And Shakira is a medium hair all gray kitty who is super friendly and super outgoing, who just adores humans.

These 4 kitties need some vetting and vaccines and then they will be ready for adoption! Check back soon for more updates!

Elayna sent us an update on her Turtle (formerly known as Camilla) who she adopted back in the beginning of February, living her best life with her new best friend!💜

"We are so blessed to have taken in Turtle, she has been the absolute CUTEST! She follows around her older brother everywhere, she loves to chase her own tail too. She is a big fan of looking out windows and loves any fuzzy ball, she carries them around with her everywhere! I have a stash of them hidden under the bed from her, haha! She also loves catnip, I included a picture of her fully covered in it after rolling around in some."Turtle has been the biggest bundle of joy to our family! My 5 year old male cat has been lonely, and when we happened upon Turtle we knew it was fate! They were immediately best friends. They cuddle, chase each other, and clean all over each other. I never knew how much a friend could’ve changed my older cats life, he has been so active and I feel so much better knowing he has a buddy to play with all day. She has made this new home her own, she has tons of little hiding spots and loves to cuddle on the couch!

Theresa sent us an update on her Orion and Sirius, who she adopted in 2023 and 2024, living their best lives!🥰

"They have both adapted so well and are 2 of the sweetest boys ever and oh my goodness are they so smart and keep us on our toes. They both came into our lives at the perfect time when we weren't necessarily looking to add to our home but they fit like they were always meant to be there and we can't thank you all enough for what you do."
