Hello everyone. I will be coaching for two weeks this summer at the Paint Rock Canyon Ranch in Wyoming and would love to work with you. There will be a foundations clinic from June 22'nd to the 29'th and an intermediate clinic from June 29'th to July 4'th. This will be my first time at the Paint Rock and from the photos I have seen and the personal accounts I have read it is a beautifully scenic place.
These clinics will be unique and immersive. They will involve predominately riding out on the ranch as opposed to an arena based clinic. We will work and talk about technique and practice with our horses when we are in a suitable spot. When we finish an exercise we'll travel on to the next spot enjoying the scenery along the way and practicing as we go. This creates much more riding time than an arena based clinic. Most of you will ride more than you normally do. This riding time accompanied by instruction will help everyone . Good instruction is key and time in the saddle allows the rider to get in harmony with their horse.
These clinics with Ranchlands are immersive in many ways. I love these horsemanship get togethers and the mix of people, ideas, and experiences shared through the week. The Phillips family have been wholistic, regenerative grazers since before these words became mainstream. They have a deep understanding and respect for the natural world and the lands that they manage. You will also experiece a unique breed of cattle called Beefmasters. The Beefmasters were developed by the Lasater family in the early 1900's with the goal of creating a cow that could thrive in challenging conditions. They are beautiful cattle and I love being around them.
So come and ride with me at the Paint Rock!I plan on having a great time with old friends and look forward to who I might get to meet.
