This darling son of Greenpointcrusader (Bernardini) is as about as kind and straightforward as they come. Crafty is well mannered, dependable and consistent under saddle and has a sweet, in your pocket personality. He will quietly WTC, pick up both leads and is just learning to jump. He will make a lovely prospect for a junior or amateur to continue to produce for any discipline. Crafty gets along well with others and is currently living out with a small group of geldings. He is easy to live with and has no vices or limitations. Life changes force regrettable sale. Carrots subject to increase as training progresses. Asking mid x, ###.

Sad news. I owe a lot to Midwest- Rich and his farm manager Carlos, entrusted me to place all of their retiring racehorses nearing 10 years ago and it kick started my career. Today, the majority of our New Vocations horses reside at the Papiese’s wonderful farm and I have my heart horse that came from Midwest Thoroughbreds in 2015 🌹

Richard Papiese, who, along with his wife Karen, owned horses as Midwest Thoroughbreds, the leading owner in North America annually by victories from 2010-15, died Dec. 4. He was 65.
