"Okay so that post earlier this week about wellness exams is just for dogs and cats right? I mean come on you didn't even post pictures of exotic animals!"
Okay, while that is a fair arguement, it's wrong nonetheless😉
Exotic animals including reptiles, amphibians, small mammals, and birds also should have regular wellness exams! Like with dogs and cats, your vet will examine your pet from nose to tail (if applicable of course) with the goal of maintaining good health, and catching any conditions early on. While the exam is important, another vital aspect of exotic pet care is husbandry! Unlike dogs and cats who adapt to our homes, exotic pets require us to create the appropriate environment for them to live in, provide the appropriate diet for them to eat, and offer them enough stimulation and appropiate socialization to keep them both healthy and happy. What an awesome (but daunting!) responsibility! Don't worry, we are here to help. Schedule your exotic pet for their wellness exam today by giving our office a call!
