My original post is so far down the list that no one has seen it.

I'm happy to inform you all that I no longer call the shelter my home because I now have a home of my own with 2 wonderful people.

They promise to keep you all updated with pictures

Everyone Loves a Two Fer .

And that's what Buckwheat and Jughead are . ( remember the little rascals ?

These 2 adorable boys are a bonded pair and have to stay together .

They are about 5 years old and are Rat Terrier mixes.

They came to us terrified -just lying in the kennels and shaking. But oh The power of love. Now when you approach them they get up to come give kisses. They are learning to go for walks and do all those fun doggy things.

If you have The room in your heart for these boys please come down and meet them . As always if you have other dogs at home please bring them along as we do require a meet and greet before adoption.

Our pups Would love to celebrate with you . They are all dressed in their Irish paraphernalia and ready to go .

We love our dogs so much we exchange pictures even when we aren’t at work. Comes the cold weather we bring out our dog houses. Each kennel has its own dog house and we have figured out a way to insulate them and keep them warm.

If you look closely you can see that they all sit on pallets. Our good friend builder Bob anchored each house to some insulation and we have some straw for cuddling in.

Now we have Loki’s stamp of approval . It’s a fine line between being cold and being bored from being in a kennel.

Our staff and volunteers help us to take the best care of our dogs while waiting for the best outcome ever - a home of Their own .

These 3 adorable babies will be ready for adoption after Feb21. They are Blue Heeler/shepard mixes and 4 months old . What a really smart fun combination

The black and white pup is nova and is female. Cosmo and Comet are boys .
There is one additional pup who will be requiring eye surgery and will be posting him once he is ready .

These puppies will not be available to be seen until Feb 21 . They need a bit of time to recuperate from their spay and neuter

Even though they are super friendly and loving they do require a meet and greet with your own pups before adoption .

You all may remember Hydro. He came to us a couple of months ago as a matted mess .

Jenny’s House of Dogs performed a miracle and what a handsome loving dog there was underneath All that hair . Hydro is about 3 years old. He is a big boy . But with his big size comes a big heart . He was been neutered and is now current on his vaccinations. He has let us know he is ready for his furever home .

He will require his adopters to be aware up from that he will require a commuent to grooming , as do all Goldendoodles, He is very smart which is great because he does need to learn some manners . Luckily he is very food oriented which will make training him easier
The picture of him hugging me shows not only his size but his loving nature.

I’m ready to get sprung!!

I’m Drake and promise to have a better picture very soon.

I’m a lab mix and folks think I’m about 2 years old . I came in as a stray so it’s an educated guess.

I was pretty scared when I came in-and very shy. I’m really warming up and you can easily win my affection with some treats.

We rarely know the history behind the strays that come and one wonders if they were loved very much when no one is looking for them. . So for many of these dogs they are learning to trust and know love and affection
It’s part of the rewards of working in a shelter to see dogs like Drake come around

He has done well with most of the dogs at the shelter but not a fan of puppies

He has been neutered and is up to date on his vaccinations so he ge is ready to go to his new home . Please reach out to come down and meet him. If you have any dogs at home please bring them along since we do require a meet and greet prior to adoption.

What a hunk! Meet Ranger. A hunky name for this oh so handsome Shepard mix. He came to us as a stray so can’t swear that he is a pure Shepard but whatever he is he sure is handsome .

We always have to guesstimate the ages on our strays so we are putting him At about 3 years old. FYI we often use a dogs teeth as a guide to their age but sometimes a rough life can make their teeth look older than they actually are . But it gives us some insight into their personality watching how they react to strangers poking around in their mouths.
Ranger could care less . That’s how much of a sweet boy he is.

Ranger gets along with most dogs and loves to play . He is a strong boy and can use some leash training but he is so worth the effort because he will be a loving loyal
Companion .

Update from a previous owner he is sbout 5-6 years old. He is not crazy about babies and young children so would do best in a home with older kids or teenagers .

He was previously named Duke and he absolutely hates having his paws handled

Beam me up Scottie !! This adorable Chi mix is Scott (guess you all knew that was coming)

He came to the shelter as a stray and is now ready for his new home .

He has been neutered and is up to date on his vaccinations.

He is about 4-5 years old . He loves to play with his ball and to snuggle with his friends.

If you have other dogs please bring them down with you to meet Scottie. He has done well meeting other dogs.

Please. -come on down and meet me. These folks named me Felix- you know like the cat - but I’m all dog. I’m a super Friendly loveable guy . I’m about 2 years old .

I love playing and going for walks too

I came in as a stray but I was obviously someone’s boy since I’ve been neutered .

I get along nicely with other dogs but we do require a meet and greet with your pups .

Won’t you come on down and meet me and Maybe decide to give me a home of my own .

OMG. Those crazy ladies did it again! We pleaded with all of you to get us into furever homes away from the crazy ladies that work here. We told you they weren’t going to stop at making us do holiday pictures -and they didn’t. Not only did we have to get dressed up for Valentines Day but They are talking about making us dress up for St Pattys Day too- in fact They are talking about celebrating a holiday a month.

Please. Please get us into some great homes away from these ladies . Come on down and meet us and fall in love with us . Sandy is our volunteer photographer , Caelyn is staff and helps position us and Terry comes up with these horrible ideas .

We love them all but if we are in our furever homes they promise us we don’t have to come back in on picture days

Please. Think about it!

Our dogs are praying that someone comes along to save them. The ladies who do our fb page and pictures have just informed them that the next big holiday is Valentine’s Day and our big boys are afraid of how we are going to dress them up. Please come and adopt so they don’t have to go thru being dressed like Cupid.

Poor little giraffe. Demos went to town on him. He is such a good boy . For a special treat we give him something that we know he will shred. Our thin skinned pups are having a hard time with this cold .

D has been with us for too long - but he knows which toys he can “go wild” with. We try to give him the same one so he knows which ones are ok to b tough with.

Please someone come down and adopt our boy.

Winter Wonderland. At least our dogs enjoy the snow. Going to try posting some videos from one of our dedicated volunteers letting our dogs be dogs .
