RIP to Peanut
It's hard for me to explain how I feel when I lose a dog. Especially quite unexpected😭
I know its on NO level the owner feels, however, I have tons of dogs I groom every, 4, 5, 6 or 8 weeks, for basically the last 4 years I have been a business owner. (And beyond that amount of years at the other places I have groomed)
Each dog I groom for as many grooms I have done for them, and then they pass onto that dreaded Rainbow Bridge, is a dog that I genuinely feel sadness for and it affects me as well.

As I'm sure most of you realize, times are tough, for all of us.
As a small business owner, I NEED to make a change if I want to continue on this path of being your pups groomer.
With the price of groceries, gas, etc. I cannot afford to sell myself short, as I have the whole time I have been in business.
I may not be the perfect groomer or even your first choice, but for me and my family, I need to charge more for my skill.
I UNDERSTAND that it may lose me some clients, but it is what it is.
I will be raising all grooming prices $5.
Please understand that I have alot of costs associated with grooming your dogs, and I need to make changes.
My job, it's not easy, and I do appreciate all of you who continue to support me.

Long post update: I will be going back to my shop Thursday for one groom and to take care of some paperwork I need to get done.
I will only be grooming 3 to 4 small dogs a day to see how my body handles being back at work as far as lifting.
I am refraining from big dogs for a couple more weeks, UNLESS, I know the dog can jump on my table or tub without my help.
I have a HUGE list of clients to reschedule, so PLEASE be patient.
I have also thought long and hard about continuing to groom dogs that are very difficult for grooming or cause both myself and your dog too much anxiety during the process.
It's a hard transition for me, as I would like to make everyone happy, but it takes a huge toll on me to do it.
I work with sharp tools, and the last thing I want is to cut your pup. Yes, I know it happens, but it is a big stressor for me.
Also, in addition, I will be charging $10 for nail trims, as I am the only one in my shop, and it does mess with my scheduling.

Just an update.
I've had some health issues, and I was finally told I'm a candidate for a hysterectomy.
It will be scheduled for June 10th.
I will have to cancel appointments already made and will not be rescheduling those or making any new appointments until I know I can go back to work.
I was told to expect 6 weeks recovery, but the doctor thinks if I feel well at 3 weeks, I can take small dogs.
I will be getting to all of my scheduled clients within the next few days.
I know this is not ideal for either of us, but I have to get healthy, or I will not be able to do my job.
As always, I thank each and every one of you for understanding, and you may need to go some place else for a grooming, but I will be back and ready to be the best groomer I can be.

So I know I'm a complete dork for being soooo excited, but I've been using the same dog cologne for 12 years and I was ready for a change.
Asking other groomers opinions on scents, I decided to order these samples, all the way from the U.K.!
Using them today inspired me to order 4 more scents!
These smell sooooo good.
So upon arriving with your dog, you get to pick what scent you would like😃😃😃

I've added myself to a couple grooming groups on Facebook for support. I've been really stressed out lately and I felt kind of alone.
Since joining, I feel alot better knowing that other groomers feelings are EXACTLY the same as mine.
We ARE NOT perfect, we are human beings just like you, we are not magical human beings, just plain ol' ones.
If we have years of experience grooming then WE KNOW what we are talking about when we tell you things about your dog.
We work with dogs that wiggle, move, circle the table, try to jump off, bite, p**p, p*e.
Now add in the fact that we use sharp tools. Accidents are bound to happen, and we will beat ourselves up for days...
Just PLEASE give a little more respect to us groomers. Realize our prices reflect the work we put into it and the upkeep of our EXPENSIVE tools, even if we have to send fido home unfinished or not completely perfect. Trust me, we hate doing this...
Also, we too have life outside of work. So respect us if it takes a day or 2 to respond to you.
And please do your research on coat care on the breed you are getting. Some coats require daily combing and 6-8 week grooming, to prevent matting, which hurts dogs. If you're not going to help us keep your dog fluffy, if that's what you want, then do not blame us for shaving him.
Our job is HARD!
I guess that's all I needed to say.

So tomorrow I'm attempting going back to work after 2 weeks of having Covid. I have a ton of people to get back to, and I'm almost certain I will be rescheduling a few more appointments as I doubt I can do a full 4 to 6 dogs in one day. (fatigue and weakness can last much longer)
Please, please, please, be patient with me.
This last two weeks were horrible and it's going to take time getting back into the swing of things...

I just wanted to make a quick post asking for patience...I've been really sick since Wednesday, tried to work today, and it did not work out. I'm not sure how I'll feel tomorrow or the next day and I have many dogs to schedule and/or reschedule and I'm working on trying to fit everyone in. It's really hard for someone like me, who cannot simply just call in, it's a whole lot more complicated. I seriously appreciate everyone who is understanding. Trust me, this is not how I'm wanting things to be right now😭😭

In the entire month of September, if you bring in a donation (monetary, food for cat or dog, supplies, etc.) for the Langlade County Humane Society when you bring your pup for grooming, I will give you 15% off your groom!

I'm going to be completely honest, I'm overwhelmed with the amount of messages, calls, texts, to schedule your pups for grooming. I'm so humbled by the amount of people that want me to groom your babies...
And I feel so happy that you want me to groom them.
My hours are less than desirable, (but I try my hardest to work around your schedule) and I apologize for that, but I have a daughter in school and a husband who works alot as well.
With that being said, I am booking into May, and I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH, PLEASE set up standing appointments if you need to get in on a timely matter...
I sincerely apologize if you have to wait to get in, or go somewhere else.
