It was a very unusual fish in regard to it's coloration - Notice the yellow gold coloring on its snout ... VERY UNIQUE!

We like to create our muskies like my grandma created her spaghetti sauce...
She wanted it to taste a certain way and if it needed a certain kind of vegetable or spice to make it her PERFECT SAUCE ... IT WENT IN THERE!

Three generations of Ptak fishermen and three generations of Fittante Replica muskies!

Josh Ptak 3rd generation with his 50" 36 lbs musky.
This realtionship all started almost 20 years ago (2006) at the Chicago Musky Expo which is coming up again this weekend.

The musky has introduced me to some very fine fishermen and some very fine people along the way.

We are starting our 53rd year in business.

We are blessed with great customers... and I am grateful.

What a success story for the Wi DNR and the restoration of the fishery in Lake Michigan.
Opportunities like this were non existent back in the day, not so many years ago.
Let's give credit to the folks in the Wi. DNR fisheries dept that had a vision of what Lake Michigan could be - Not only with the salmon and trout, but with muskies, and walleyes ,smallmouth bass etc.

In honor of Shark Week this week, we thought you might like a look at a Shark Week we had of our own not too long ago. This was a project we did for a fisherman in lower Michigan ...Mario Nanos This was a collaborative fishing effort with his sons. He had a novel idea of how he wanted to display this beast (which was released by the way). We delivered the replica of the 12 ft shark to his home. Here is a little peek behind the curtain...I hope you find it interesting.
