Doggieology101 Doggieology101 is all about teaching people how to communicate effectively with their dog! As a pack animal, a dog’s DNA requires that someone be the leader.

Does your dog jump on people, pull on the leash, have little to no impulse control and need to learn some manners?? As your K9 coach, I would come to your home and teach you simple effective techniques that will show you how to command the calm state of mind and show your dog that you are their pack leader. People often unknowingly give their dog mixed or confusing signals about who runs the pack.

If they are confused about this in any way, they often will step up and assume the leadership position. This confusion creates anxiety and stress in the dog and can lead to pushy, challenging or destructive behavior. They respond best to a strong leader who creates the rules, boundaries and limitations and who commands a calm state of mind. Many people only need one session to learn the skills to manage and erase their dog's annoying behaviors. Contact me today to set up an appointment!

These puppies are all learning D101 style! Puppy pro tip…”socializing” does not mean that you need to introduce your puppy to every dog, have every child and everyone you meet touch and handle them, and take them to everywhere in the first two months that you have them. This can often be very, overwhelming for a new puppy. You want these experiences to be slow and controlled; you want all associations/patterns with these things to be calm, relaxed and positive.
