Zeus is a well-rounded good boy who will find his way into your heart at lightning speed, of course! He is a one-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix and what we like to call a “Professional Snuggler”. Our Wellness Team has had the pleasure of having Zeus in their office! Zeus always greets them with a big goofy smile and lots of kisses. Zeus has a way of using his puppy eyes to charm his people. He is also a whiz-kid and knows basic cues like “sit” and is working on his crate training too! Zeus is also a fantastic friend to his dog friends; he is social and very very playful with lots of puppy energy!

Don’t forget Buster! 🥰
Buster is a 10-year-old mixed breed gentleman and an awesome Silver Snout Saturday feature!

He recently went out for an Adventure Tails field trip! While he was out with his friend he was described as “loyal companion who will lay at your feet on your porch with you…” We think that sounds lovely! They also described him as having a “quiet demeanor” and a “chill vibe”. But wait it gets even better! Our volunteers have said: “Buster walks so well on the leash, it doesn’t feel like it’s even attached to him. There is no pulling at all! He was easy to leash and went to the bathroom as soon as he got on some grass. He seemed housebroken. He took treats gently (pupperoni were his favorite) and enjoyed taking a long walk” what a guy! Buster is selective with is dog friends and needs some time to warm up to the new friends he makes.

Lucy 💔 We want to share the story behind 1-year-old Lucy coming to HSTB because it is a common reason why so many animals end up in shelters, a topic that may not be discussed often. Lucy had an incredible and loving owner who took care of her and made sure she was happy and healthy. However, like so many others, he fell on hard times and lost his home. He was heartbroken to do it but knew that Lucy would have a good life elsewhere. So, he made the extremely difficult decision to surrender her to give her the chance to find another great family. He surrendered her with all of her favorite toys and blankets, and had nothing but great things to say about what a wonderful companion Lucy is!

Lucy is up for adoption and waiting for her forever home now!
