Our Founder, Shoshi was admitted to the hospital four weeks ago by ambulance and is still very sick and recovering and has not returned to rescue yet.

Until she is well, we are on an intake hold to continue to take care of the 16 dogs we still have in our care.

They depend on us to feed them, care for them, play with them, provide enrichment, training, exercise, and take care of all of their medical needs.

We are on day 2 of our Dollar Days fundraiser where we are asking our followers to please donate just $1.00 today to help offset the cost to take care of our dogs!

You can donate here on Facebook or:
Venmo * Underdog-Heroes
PayPal/Zelle * [email protected]

THANK YOU to everyone who has donated already!

Are your pets ready for July 4th?

Did you know that more pets go missing during the July 4th holiday than any other time of the year? We know that's scary to think of, but with the right preparation and knowledge you can help keep your pets safe:

• Leave your pets at home - loud fireworks, unfamiliar places and crowds can all be very frightening to pets, and there's a great risk of pets becoming spooked and running away.
• Consider putting your pets in a safe space during parties and fireworks and play music or the TV to distract them from outside noises.
• Exercise and potty breaks before the festivities start.
• Keep horses and livestock in safely fenced areas and as far from the festivities and loud noise as possible.
• Avoid the urge to feed your pets table scraps or other foods intended for people.
• Most importantly, make sure your pets are wearing an identification dog tag or have a microchip. Also, be sure that the contact information is current.

After the celebrations:
• Check your yard for fireworks debris before allowing pets outside to play or relax. Even if you didn't set off fireworks yourself, debris can make its way into your yard, where curious animals may pick it up to play with or eat.
• Check your pastures and remove debris to protect horses and livestock.
• If you hosted guests, check both your yard and home for food scraps or other debris that might be dangerous to pets, such as food skewers.
