We have a passion for creating awesome pet products that your pet will love and so will your community. Owner/ Creator Nicole loves animals of all shapes and sizes. She has worked at pet stores, doggy daycares and animal shelters before landing her perfect job as a pet sitter and dog walker. This gives her more time to spend playing with her ferrets Dibber Doot and Millie Moose and their five kitt
y siblings Chloe, Truffle, Noodle Boodle, Naga Baga Boo, and Nutmeg aka NutButt. She loves to craft and has used her skills to create all kinds of fun toys. While she no longer works at the animal shelters she can't help but want to help find forever homes for homeless pets. So she donates a portion of the sales to a special rescue partners. Since starting Doot's we have donated over $1,500 to our friends at Apple Valley Pit Crew, Lucky 7 Dog Rescue, Unforgettable Underdogs, Misfit Mutts and Happily Ever After. I finally got around to starting my Christmas collars, and had to get a few of my other new prints samples out too. Which is your favorite??
If you saw my post the other day maybe you guessed it but 1.5" collars are now in the works too! I'm going to do a smaller trial run and see how they go from there!
Things are gearing up to be a busy end of August and a show filled September! Here's a sneak peak of the shows we will be attending in September. The last week of August will hopefully be a great success as well as I will be out of town attending Camp Pet Boss to learn some new skills to help the business grow. As always, your honest feedback and reviews help me make important decisions about products and designs to carry as well as help others find us!

Just dropped off a wholesale order with our repeat customer The Pet Shop in Oconto!! They ordered some Crinkle Catnip Mats and Halloween collars and I of course threw in a few extras for them too! 😁 Just got the bobber print in last week and really wanted to get some made before summer ended!
This was the last of my Faire orders from Summer Market and I was happy to deliver it in person!
My husband delivered a restock order to one of my other regulars Walker Family Veterinary Hospital earlier in the week and we had a new customer Tails of Rescue in Kahoots who also bought collars from us during the Market.

Yesterday was National Craft For Your Shelter Day and with the craziness of Faire Market prep I forgot!
It's a great reminder of just how much of a difference you can make for homeless pets in your community not just today but everyday. I spent years working at my local animal shelters and know the impact you can make. Whether you make homemade toys and treats to donate, host a lemonade stand, rummage sale, donation drive, donate a portion of your small business sales, shop with brands who give back, or even share their brands and stories you can help!
We proudly donate 50% of our retail profits to help local rescues and hope we inspire you in some way to help. Please feel free to share your favorite brands that give back, or ways you are helping homeless pets in your community. If you craft for your shelter please share photos!

How to give your pets a safe holiday:
🐾 Make sure all of their info is up to date on their microchips, tags, collars
🐾Make last minute purchases of calming collars, sprays, medications, happy hoodies, thunder shirts, light up collars/ leashes, Kongs
🐾 Replace any fraying equipment with new quality collar, harnesses and leashes
🐾 Check your fence for any damage or escape points and keep your pets on a leash when outside during peak noisy times
🐾 Have an emergency action plan in case your pet does get out
Know what you need to do to act quick to find your pet and have funds set aside for vet care if they are injured.
🐾 Work on long term calming methods like noise descensitization. Play fireworks noises on low volume throughout the day and gradually increase the volume over a few days, weeks or months to get them more used to the noises. There are some great tips online and YouTube videos specifically for helping dogs.

It has been an amazing month for Doot's! We had the Green Bay Pet Expo and raised $430 for Apple Valley Pit Crew and just under $90 for The Neenah Animal Shelter . We had a nice time at Jane's Journey Home for Dogs for their event and raised $58 for them.
We are also happy to have made wholesale sales to repeat customers DePawsitory , and Zoom Room Appleton! Plus we have made four new customer wholesale orders this month on Faire! You can now find our products at K9 Biz in Dexter MO, The Shop on Main in Oconto, Wisconsin, and Bonez 4 Budz in Aurora Colorado!

The website has been fully updated and new products have been added! It took a little bit longer after the Pet Expo but now I'm working on some new cat toys to stock in Bowenstreet Market and to complete a few wholesale orders. These are a few of the newer ones that I've added to the site. We'll have to wait for a nicer day to take some good pictures of them. Also most have matching keychains that still need to be added!

We wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who came out to the Green Bay Pet Expo and help support not only Doot's but also Apple Valley Pit Crew! We raised $430 which is awesome for the amount of traffic we had.

We are celebrating our first official National Small Business week!
If you had told me years ago that I would one day be owning my own business I would have told you you were crazy because it would be too much work. But looking back I see all my failed ideas and how hard I tried to make them successful before moving on to a new project.
After years of trying, I realized why not combine my love of animals with my love of staying busy and crafting. My first dog collars definitely took forever to make and the stitching looked like crap but everyone was so positive so I continued working to improve my technique and the materials I use. I love feeling confident about my products and knowing that from the start I have made it my mission to give back where I can.
Friends, family and anyone I told about my occupation were either wondering why I was working for someone else, or telling me that I should get a real job but I stuck with it not wanting to start my own business because it was "too much work". But I was doing it already and just didn't know it.
Deciding to actually go for it may have been more out of necessity but I have absolutely no regrets (okay managing the social media and record keeping aspects aren't very fun 😂) but I am doing it.
This year I realize more and more how important it is to support your local small businesses especially as I navigate the waters of selling online and trying to compete with big brands who get their products made for cheap. I've learned that it's not about trying to compete with them, but rather getting yourself out there and getting people to know your brand and your missions. I am so excited to keep learning and growing the business I never wanted but I now believe in so strongly.

Christmas collars are back in stock at Bowenstreet Makers Market they will stay here until next week Friday when I will pick them back up for our next show Winterfest at Sunnyview expo center. We could really use your help and support to make our first official year in business a success. Our goal for each new year is to do more to help homeless pets in our community and we cannot do it without your help. The first side of the rack has LG collars on top and XL on bottom.
