Doot's has so many things to be thankful for this time of year! We are celebrating our first year of business at a pet sitting company and wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone for their support over the last year and beyond. Taking the leap to owning my own business was such a giant step, but seeing the difference this year has made on my spirits I truly feel like things are back on track for me.
If you know me you know that I am a go getter and truly love continuing to learn and grow in my chosen fields of pet care and product making. From getting my CPACP (Certified Professional Animal Care Provider) in 2018, attending virtual and in person seminars and workshops, signing up for Pet Boss University a few months back and now I am proud to announce that I am now Fear Free Certified. I will continue to do what I can to enrich the lives of the pets that I care for and couldn't do it without your support.
I am eager to keep growing, learning, and doing what I love to do!

🐾 This , we're reflecting on our blessings and reaching out to those who need our help most. At Doot's, we're proud to donate 50% of our collar sales to support local animal shelters and rescues. We are so proud to have donated over $5,000 to our local rescue groups and shelters!

This week was thankfully a lighter schedule as I am prepping as much as I can for Octoberfest. I made some new friends who made sure to shower me in smiles and kisses (while demanding ALL THE PETS!!) and even though it was a warm week the last 48 hours it seems that Fall has really hit the trees. 🍁🍂 I Do still have a few more weekends of craft shows in October But then we'll be focusing more on taking holiday and vacation requests for November into the new year.

The love we have for our pets is something so raw and emotional, deep in our hearts and my heart goes out to my friends and clients experiencing loss this week. Loving an animal whether through rescue work, or adopting is so hard and it's why I always love my client pets like they are my own and do what I can to give back to help homeless pets.

Another wholesale order heading out the door! This was my biggest leash order to date and thankfully my webbing supplier was able to get a few more rolls shipped to me quickly.
Things are not slowing down as I prep for not one, not two, but THREE SHOWS this weekend!! 🤪
Matt and I will be at The Crafty Apple in Chilton tomorrow while the amazing Sue mans a small booth for us at Bridge Point Church's Family Fun Fest in Green Bay. Then on Sunday we will be at the Chase Stone Barn craft show in Pulaski! If you are out and about please stop by and say hi!!

Happy 4th of July! We hope you and your furry friends have a safe enjoyable holiday! Please keep your pets inside and well distracted from the loud noises. If they are door darters make sure they are wearing their collars with tags. If they have to go outside, make sure they are secure by using a sturdy harness and leash and make it a quick trip outside. Help keep them calm inside with relaxing loud music, closed blinds or put them in a bathroom with a good long lasting treat.

How to give your pets a safe holiday:
🐾 Make sure all of their info is up to date on their microchips, tags, collars

🐾Make last minute purchases of calming collars, sprays, medications, happy hoodies, thunder shirts, light up collars/ leashes, Kongs

🐾 Replace any fraying equipment with new quality collar, harnesses and leashes

🐾 Check your fence for any damage or escape points and keep your pets on a leash when outside during peak noisy times

🐾 Have an emergency action plan in case your pet does get out
Know what you need to do to act quick to find your pet and have funds set aside for vet care if they are injured.

🐾 Work on long term calming methods like noise descensitization. Play fireworks noises on low volume throughout the day and gradually increase the volume over a few days, weeks or months to get them more used to the noises. There are some great tips online and YouTube videos specifically for helping dogs.

The last week of May was a busy one. I am so excited to get into the summer! I am now booking summer and fall dog walking, yard p**p pickups, pet sitting, and have a limited amount of overnights and almost overnights available too.
