Tybalt is headed to the vet tomorrow for a dental procedure. He has some teeth that are bothering him, but after this he’ll be feeling much better! 🩺🦷 Dental surgeries for kitties are expensive, and our non-profit rescue partner Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary foots the bills for all of the cats here. 🥺 Can you help unburden some of the cost? Ballyhoo says “Respect my wishes or you’ll get scritches!” 🐈‍⬛ We would like to remind everyone that the kitties live here… this is their temporary HOME. Many of our cats are rescues from overcrowded shelters where they were once scheduled for euthanasia. Some have disabilities, some come from neglectful backgrounds, and some are super social and snuggly! Just like humans, animals can get overstimulated and stressed on any given day. They aren’t required to put on their best cattitude for anyone. Some days are just for napping, not for people-ing. The good new is: we have plenty of kitties, so when one or a few adult cats don’t want to be touched there are usually others who do allow gentle pets. If not, we often hear parents tell kids “pet with your eyes”, and we LOVE this phrase for humans of all ages! 😻 So please, follow our rules. Our team knows the cats as well as their own personal pets, when they say any kitty needs space it is NOT a challenge to see if you can get them to like you. It is also not an invitation to argue with or disrespect our caring staff and volunteers.

Our ultimate goal is to find furever homes for at-risk cats and kittens through our no-kill, non-profit rescue partner Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary. Help us achieve this properly socializing with them. The vast majority of our visitors are extremely kind and understanding, but we have just had too many instances lately to not speak up on behalf of those who don’t have voices to defend themselves. Our cats mental health and safety will always be our #1 priority.

Yum! 🍱🍣 If you’re looking for an a-meow-zing meal this weekend be sure to stop by MeowMeow Sushi right outside of the café! The sushi truck will be here today and Saturday from 11am-2pm. Good mews: they now offer a vegan option (and it’s delicious)! 😋 Reminder that food IS allowed in the cat lounge but under no circumstances are the kitties allowed to share your lunch! 🐈‍⬛🐈

Meet Tybalt, Pawffee's newest resident. Tybalt's tale actually goes way back, he's been here before. We first met him in the summer of 2022 when he arrived on a transport from an out-of-state kill shelter after being saved by Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary. He had a leg injury and a healing ear wound (now a permanent crinkle ear). He found a home with another cat shortly after, and unfortunately was recently returned due to no fault of his own. Tybalt is such a sweetheart, it's hard not to fall right in love with him! He's super affectionate, so he's looking for a home where he can both receive lots of attention, and be given space when he needs it due to occasional overstimulation. He does require daily anxiety meds to keep him calm and comfortable, but it's a breeze giving them in food or a pill pocket and they aren't too expensive. He is a bit territorial, but he likes calm, friendly kitties. He would do well in a spacious home and a feline friend who won't challenge him, or on his own as a solo companion. Come in and meet him, he loves to give head butts and beg for cuddles! He is happiest when he's with a human, so if you take this guy home be prepared for regular snuggle sessions. ❤️ Tybalt is roughly 7 years old, neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. He is patiently waiting for a furever family in our cat lounge.
