Cat Hoarding Situation

‼️**Sensitive Video Below**‼️ 🌺We are coming to all of you, as our community, with a plea for help.🌺 In the past two weeks we have been engaged in two separate hoarding situations, which has depleted all of our resources. Despite our best efforts, we have only scratched the surface of this crisis. We have rescued numerous cats, and are actively working to get the rest into our care. Our estimated costs to provide the necessary care for these animals exceed $60,000, a daunting figure that weighs heavily on our minds. Fox Valley Humane is a private locally managed non-profit, this means we do not receive help through tax dollars, and no state or national funding. Our ability to assist with these situations relies heavily on the crowdfunding we are able to accomplish. 🌺DONATIONS: Your financial support is crucial to help us provide necessary care for these previous animals. Every dollar counts! 🌺FOSTER: Getting more cats out of the building will help us be able to take more in. We specifically have a need for ringworm fosters. We will be carefully monitoring commenting on this post. We are looking to share this video to bring awareness to the situation. We ask that everyone be respectful and kind when it comes to the individual that found themselves in this situation. A few cats can quickly become more, and most people that find themselves with too many cats to care for are animal lovers and simply unsure of where to turn to for help. Look no further than Mr. Dewey!🐈‍⬛ Get to know Mr. Dewey: 🐈‍⬛ Estimated 4 year old neutered male, came to FVHA as a stray. 🐈‍⬛ Sweet, affectionate, and chatty. 🐈‍⬛ Is currently being treated for demodex mites, so his coat currently is a little worse for wear! We kind of think of it looking like a beloved childhood stuffed toy. 🐈‍⬛His cute little tongue tends to permanently hang out! Reach out to us at 920-733-1717 for more information about this love bug! 🌾 Rick is our only piggie left! Please someone choose Rick!🌾 Rick was brought in as a stray in October of 2023, and has patiently watched many other piggies come and go while waiting for his own family! Consider Rick: 🌾 Exact age is unknown. 🌾 Had to be separated from the other pig he came with, may prefer to be social with humans only! 🌾 Loves throwing his hay around and is a comical little fellow! 🌾 Rick comes with a cage for housing! We are happy to say that Kody did find a foster home through your hundreds of shares! This foster does have dogs at home, but is skilled and experienced with crate and rotate management of dogs in order to keep everyone in the house safe. 👭Two dogs is twice as nice! 👭 Ellie and Shadow are having some trouble finding a home, it is really difficult for shelters to find placement for dogs that are bonded pairs - especially when they are large! We would like to do everything we can to keep these girlies together! Want to open your ❤️ to two great dogs? 👭 Both girls are around 4 years old! 👭 They're on the chunky side and need to lose weight (Shadow is basically a roly poly potato!) 👭 Good with kids! 👭 We feel they would do well with the right kitty or dog companion! 👭 Are overall easy going, and would enjoy a comfy bed and walks around the neighborhood. Rebel Wilson checking in to let us know that we may be calling it BIG DOG SUMMER, but she is living her best Hot Girl Summer 💅 This little comedian wants to be in a home where she can keep her new family laughing every day. She has been waiting for 🚨97 days🚨 in the shelter to find a home! Things we know about Rebel: 🌺1.5 years old. 🌺 Highly food motivated, trainable, and eager to please! Has solid sit and recall. 🌺 An energizer bunny, loves a good game of fetch. 🌺 Very affectionate and enjoys lots of attention. 🌺 With some positive experiences may do well with the right dog in the future! 🌺 Is a little too interested in chasing cats to peacefully co-exist. This little lady has had a rough start to life, let's help her have a happy ending!
